Must suck to only limit yourself to one scale/style. I'm pretty sure that the more obscure characters will never get as Ultimates as they're too costly to make and will most likely not sell as well.

It's not about limiting myself, I just really don't like the 8 inch cloth figures at all.

And it's not like Ace Ventura, Karate Kid or Goonies are obscure.

Overall NECA had a good showing. Here are my thoughts:

The New Assassin Predator is just a repaint which is kind of frustrating. Why bother making his in his non-upgraded form if you're not going to retool the figure to have normal predator skin. Now it's just a yellow armored assassin. The LED Fugitive will likely be an SDCC exclusive so... I guess that's alright. I also wish we were getting an ultimate version of the Lost/Borg Predator as he appeared in the movie, but I can live the battle armor version too.

Defenders of Tomorrow is an awesome throwback line and a great reuse of their Superman/ Batman Predator vs Alien 2 Pack molds, but I don't really see these selling huge numbers... I would have preferred NECA acquire "The Boys" license, comic or TV Show over this and they probably could have still re-used the Superman/ Batman/ Green Lantern sculpts if they went the comic route and The Boys right now is infinitely more popular than DOE, but alas...

I would have flipped if instead of a retro cloth Jaws line they just made a 7in scaled articulated Bruce. I bet Bruce would sell more than the human characters any day of the week, plus we could all fit a great white shark in our collections somehow.

The Cartoon and Movie TMNT figures are great, but I think the luster has worn off. After the first movie figures and the initial cartoon releases, not to mention the headaches with distribution and trying to acquire a whole set I'm a bit burned out. I see them and I'm like 'that looks neat,' but other than that I feel nothing.

NECA officially revealing Ash and figure with the likeness of Kane is just gravy at this point. Nothing to complain about there. They will go nicely with Brett and Parker. The Albino and Bloody variant in an anniversary line to me are kind of meh... at this point. Now their is just... now what could the mystery 9th figure be... you think NECA would just re-release Lambert? Hmm...

Marty Mcfly, Ultimate Ghostface and the New Ultimate lost Predators are all nice... Still waiting on Predator 2 30th Anniversary Detective Harrigan reveal.

Those are my thoughts.

It looks quite nice honestly.
I didn't know that. That is quite exciting! Heads up, pre-orders are up on BBTS.

Godzilla vs Biollante is one of my personal favorites and Biogoji is my favorite Heisei suit so I'm definitely picking that one up.

Scout predator's unmasked head is pretty neat but it's still taking me a moment to adjust to it because I'm so used to every predator head looking roughly the same. Warrior's axe is really cool but that's all I have to say on him.

Brett's still a definite want and it's great to see they got likeness rights for Ash and Kane but it's a little disappointing that the bloody Big Chap still has the overly dark dome.

Looks like that movie Casey Jones doesn't have a removable mask and it is sculpted on since they couldn't get (or won't pay for) the actor's likeness. Kind of disappointed in that since he goes without the mask for much of the film. If they got the likeness rights I'm sure we'd be seeing an alternate unmasked head on display with him too.

That there's no one complaining that these Defenders of the Earth figures are too muscular for the source material might be a sign that the property is too obscure or that no one really cares about it lol. I like them tho...that Ming figure is beautiful.

Its cool seeing those DOTE figures - I hope the next wave completes the team of LJ, Rick, Jedda & Kshin, maybe with Ming's son Prince Kro-Tan

Wonder if the Walmart exclusives for the Turtle figures will be on their site soon. Love that Super Shredder. I remember he was so hard to find when the movie came out.

Honestly, it’s shocking that they’re even being made. Clever reuse of parts may be the only thing that made it feasible for Neca to make it happen. Definitely not going to complain that they’re more muscular than they should be. This is the the most unexpected (and most welcome) reveal of Toy Fair so far.

Yeah I hope we get multiple versions of Marty and Doc from all 3 films, given that they are doing radiation suit Marty too. I want Biff too. I wonder if NECA is ambitious enough to do the Delorean in the 6" scale. Can't have a BTTF figure line without that!

Then I don't see the point in complaining. You already know that the Ultimates line will never see the same range of obscure characters as the retro line. Might as well take the L and move on.

7" (1:10) scale and yes the Delorean is as much a Character as Marty and the Doc. The good thing about this scale is it's what most RC cars are made in. The problem is that it appears nobody has ever done a Delorean in this scale at all. It's doable but i'm thinking NECA won't touch it just like Ghidorah. They should follow Hasbros lead and have it kickstarted.
