Hello everyone. I am new to collecting, I finally put together and collected the entire Marvel Universe set 3.75 set. Anyone know or have a clue when the new wave is coming out. Every toys r us, target, Walmart i go just has peg warmers. Honesty if it wasn't for eBay or a collectors warehouse I might never find what I need. If anyone can give me better insight into collecting, or where I can order the new wave from. Thank you

If your retail stores aren't cutting it then Ebay and message boards are your best bets.

Thank you for responding. Yes I know I have been collecting for awhile. I saw all the pics of people, the hauls they get, and I was just curious where they got them from. The only thing as a collector that hurt me is I bought the archangel for 160 two weeks ago, and I just paid 40 with shipping for two on hasbro lol. My favorite piece now is that and the vision, which I got for 20 at a garage sale. Thank again for responding can't wait for the new wave.

It is easier just to pretend you paid 200 for 3 X-Force Archangels... so that's $67 each... then just pretend you missed out on him at HTS... doubt his secondary market value will drop all that much even now, so $67 each is a steal. BTW, thinking like this is how I'm able to sleep at night. LOL.

Yes... regular vision has achieved legendary status at this point... be proud; especially for 20 bucks. What about Classic Havok? Do you like him too?

Yes I have both havoks, they are very neat. Does anyone know why Vision is so expensive and rare. I thought blade and black panther were pricy. I was lucky to get great deals on both on eBay.

cause all of those guys were hard to find then and hard to find now. I don;'t remember seeing any of them when I first started. Granted, I didn't start until well into 2010.

I think Nova is going to be the new hard to find. Granted that wave is back ordered and should ship out again this month. I would get as many Novas as you can. It can turn out to be the next beta ray bill but I doubt it.

Beta Ray Bill isn't worth more than its retail price right now. None of that wave is. Wave 18 really hit retail great with multiple restocks here, kinda the same with 19, but 20 and 21? Pff. Ive only seen one store that has stocked them. I know its the "spring refresh" and all, but its almost May. I get the feeling only "select" stores will receive new stuff.

On toywiz.com you can prep order wave 22 at 14.99 a piece is it worth it?

Yah, Beta Ray Bill was definitely HTF when that wave first hit last year, but he showed again with the Professor X/Jubilee wave and that wave is only now showing up everywhere I think... so IMO Beta Ray Bill is much easier to find now. Pretty much everything depends how often a fig gets re-released in the next wave or revision cases. Hopefully Nova and Angel gets re-released a lot.

I think someday the classic Havok variant will reach grail status... maybe when the new X-men movie comes out and Havok becomes more of a popular mainstream character.

Vision came from the lost wave at the end of the year... that wave was so hard to find at retail because probably not many of the big three TRU, Target, Walmart ordered that wave. And regular Vision and X-Force Warpath were the only ones from that wave that never got re-released in those original colors... only the Uncanny Warpath and Phasing Vision variants were re-released and those were relatively very easy to find IMO. X-Force Warpath was also re-released in the 3 pack with muted colors and IMO Warpath is not an essential character like how Vision is.

Only if the price is worth it to you to pay that. But, i've been lucky so far and waited for retail or my LCS.

Wow great explanation thank you. I ask this because a friend of mine paid $80 for beta ray bill and now it's a peg warmer. I hope Nova and Angel are re-released as well. Yes I truly enjoyed betting the Havok variant it's so hard to find even now. I Pre-ordered wave 22, just cus I don't trust the retail stores around my area. Living in Los Angeles you have over charged comc book stores, and eBay sclapers taking toys from TRU. Target walmart. The only rare I have ever found was the marvel legends archangel and I found them 20 a piece at two different comic stores.

Yup at the time I thought he was crazy when he told me he paid that much. Now I understand though. Oh well good luck to everyone. Thanks again to everybody for their input.

Yup I'm doing that with my loose collection now. One thing i don't get is, yes we all want one MOC, honestly if its not open and the packaging looks normal I don't like this whole grading system on toys. If it's in the box it's brand new. I am happy my archangel shipped. Never ever did I think I would have a loose one

I remember how well-stocked Walmart was before I started collecting MU. The Jean Grey wave had just come out so there were pegs full of Vision, Jean, and XF Warpath...*sigh* Back then I thought that no one would buy 4" figures for $7!!! Boy was I wrong, LOL. A year or so later I got Vision for $25 from an online store so I count myself lucky.
