And then there's the ridiculous shipping prices online. And the bastard scalpers. If it were like this back in the 70's & 80's I would never have bothered with toys. |

I appreciate hasbro making shitty figures now a days. Gives me the inspiration to save up for figures that are actually worth my money.
All the cheap, qc ridden, 3.75" figures from Hasbro can go roast in an oven for all I care. I'll pick up some 6" figures if they have the paint, and articulation to make them worth if it. If not, oh well...other companies figures worthy of my display. Hello Hot Toys! Last edited by Optimatron; 01-19-2013 at 11:30 PM.. |

There's a War Machine in one of this year's 3-packs of MU, and I'm sure they'll do him in this line.

I didn't see that news...
I'm a 3.75 Marvel collector - all lines. This is going to make me sad with every purchase... Rather buy the Avengers dudes in bikes. |

So far, I'm not impressed and don't see myself buying them when they hit retail.
I seem to recall some time ago a lot of people asking Hasbro for an Iron Man figure with swap-able armor pieces to mimic his Modular Armor design (and in some respects the War Machine armor too, since it can be outfitted with various weapon systems). Too bad none of us realized what the cost of that kind of gimmick would be until now.

Guys, chill out a little. Let's wait until we see the main 3.75" line before flipping out, eh? I think they'll end up being mediocre like The Avengers figures but let's just wait and see.
This is no different than the "deluxe" 3.75" Iron Man 2 figures, which had the same limited articulation. We have figures like this in every line. It's silly to judge the entire line off of these. (Although I'm not incredibly hopeful.) |

Sadly, with such a low retail price... I believe the regular 3.75" series will be just like the Assemblers but without the extra arms & weapons.

To further my unfortunate point...
Marvel Avengers Toy Product Catalog | Hasbro Toys, Games, And Action Figures. Quote:
Tony Stark’s vault contains armor developed for almost any situation imaginable!
Enemies of justice are in for a big fight when your Cold Snap Iron Man figure slams into action! With his special Cold Snap armor that helps him handle extreme temperatures and his repulsor freeze blast, he’s going to be more than a match for his enemies no matter what the conditions are. Stand him up in your collection or get him into the fight! Cold Snap Iron Man figure comes with repulsor freeze blast! Cold Snap armor! Poseable arms and legs! Figure comes with accessory. Posable arms and legs? $5.99 retail price? There is ZERO CHANCE these figures will have even the limited articulation the Avengers movie line did. This will be the Green Lantern of Marvel movie toys. |

Marvel Avengers Toy Product Catalog | Hasbro Toys, Games, And Action Figures. ...the official description of 3.75" Series 1 (Non-Assemblers) Cold Snap Armor. Posable arms and legs? $5.99 retail price? There is ZERO CHANCE these figures will have even the limited articulation the Avengers movie line did. This will be the Green Lantern of Marvel movie toys. I don't really get what happened with Hasbro. When they started their 3.75" initiative in 2009 with MU, X-Men Origins, and Wolverine and the X-Men, everything was either good or great. Even the WatXM figures were fun to collect because despite the low articulation, the actual designs were nice and they looked cool on a shelf. Even the Iron Man Armored Adventures toys looked cool, despite the bad articulation. I get that the movie lines are more geared towards kids than the MU line but they did such a fantastic job with the Iron Man 2 figures, it was weird to see them get lazy with The Avengers, which was the biggest comic movie of all time. Ignoring the articulation, where was the variety? At least give us a good comic line like XMO and IM2. They're also not showing anything. I mean the figures come out in what, a month, and we've only seen these assembler figures? And at the last minute? I love what Hasbro's done the past few years but there's SO much more opportunity here. |

I really hope they don't end up being that bad articulated. Hopefully they at least look good.

Wow these suck.
Come on, Hasbro. You're better than this. This is Mattel's evergreen Batman line level garbage.

Hasbro is getting great at making instant pegwarmmers, not so good at making figures worth buying... I'm hoping they do the 6'' line well especially with the teaser of the baf Iron Monger.

This is a HUGE letdown after the Iron Man 2 line. Even if it did pegwarm forever, there was plenty of variety and most, if not all, were well-articulated (although those hope joints were just... Ugh. Understandable concept, but execution just left me cold). Just because it never left the shelf doesn't mean it was terrible; they just produced far too many of the same figure (Guardsman and the Mark IV-VI armors in my area). |

Very out of touch and not thinking from the view of a child. Of course these suck for us but for kids? A line of figures with interchangeable armor? Of course kids would find this fun.
