New Photos Of Iron Man 3 Assemblers Toys

SilverOptimus 01-18-2013 09:24 AM

I'm seeing great stuff coming from Hasbro this year. Can't wait for the ToyArk Toy Fair 2013 coverage.

Panthro1978 01-18-2013 09:38 AM

Meh. I'll decide when I see them in the wild if I'm buying them, I think.

FancyPants 01-18-2013 09:53 AM

are these action figures or as bad as the avengers stuff? Hopefully at least the legs might move. Asking for torso artic at this point would just be greedy.

Quasimodo 01-18-2013 10:05 AM

They have less artic than avengers figures

Ninjinister 01-18-2013 10:51 AM

I've got the Iron Man and Iron Patriot from this line (or so I've been told - never realized that's what they are lol). They have neck, shoulder, and hip articulation. That's it. Reportedly limbs are removable but I haven't tried. Essentially from what I've read, they're Iron Man Socket Poppers.

Enigma2K2 01-18-2013 11:02 AM

... what is it with Hasbro and not just releasing another War Machine for those of us who missed out?

Quasimodo 01-18-2013 11:37 AM

The war machine armor is different in im3
I believe they have a figure of it coming out in this line

Shin Densetsu 01-18-2013 12:29 PM

Dear Hasbro, your airbrushed to hell photography now masked by snow effects does not hide the missing articulation. I want to see the basic figure assortment, the ROSS 2013 Iron Assemblers Fall catalog does nothing for me.

Our own Exodus pointed me to another new pic, this time from Marvel.

Haha, glad I usually pass on the movie stuff unless it's a "comic" version. But we're already getting a WM in the Avengers pack so it's all good.

is there a basic figure assortment coming out too? With non-assembler figures?

warmachine6 01-18-2013 04:34 PM

hmm two amours for Rhodey although depending on how the new black and silver one looks like i hope for at least a missile launcher as well as a Gatling gun

Article: Yesterday we showed you some official images of Hasbro's Iron Man 3 Assemblers 3.75" figures, though the images really didn't give us a very good look because they were edited with some cool looking snow effects as seen in the movie. Now Hasbro has released to us new hi-res images for these figures giving us a full look at them. Check out the new images below in our GALLERY.

These figures will feature multiple interchangeable pieces that deliver maximum customization. Heads, arms, legs and weapons are interchangeable across figures to create hundreds of unique armors! They are due to hit shelves by February 11 for $9.99 each. We will see more of these as well as regular basic 3.75" Iron Man 3 figures at next months New York Toy Fair. Shown below are Iron Man, War Machine and Iron Patriot.

Marvel’s “Iron Man 3” pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, “Iron Man 3” is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic super hero Iron Man, who first appeared in the pages of TALES OF SUSPENSE #39 in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with THE INVINCIBLE IRON MAN #1 in May of 1968.

“Iron Man 3” is presented by Marvel Studios in association with Paramount Pictures and DMG Entertainment. Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige is producing and Jon Favreau, Louis D'Esposito, Stephen Broussard, Victoria Alonso, Alan Fine, Charles Newirth, Stan Lee and Dan Mintz are executive producers. The film releases May 3, 2013, and is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

so they can spend 99p making them and sell them for about 9.99 ....

Shin Densetsu 01-19-2013 03:53 PM

No WONDER parents and kids alike buy iPads and stuff instead! These toys aren't fun. They are the kind of toys you look at the gimmicks for and quickly toss in the toy bin.

behindthemask 01-19-2013 04:15 PM

Those look like garbage. The swappable parts idea is neat, but add articulation would of made it cooler, ability to change hands, forearms, shouler sections, chest pieces, masks, etc and could of been fun for kids, but they killed the articulation, made some awful paint choices added stupid gizmos, and still keep the price point the same as MU or Joe's, save the plastic for blast effects, flight stands, base, new characters. These have a dollarstore/ Mexican Knockoff feel.

warmachine6 01-19-2013 04:45 PM

i feel sorry for you 3.75" collectors

Ash from Carolina 01-19-2013 06:29 PM

Ouch every time I think Hasbro has reached it's lowest point they find a way to sink even lower.

Yes it's a neat idea being able to swap out parts but without any articulation these look like a knock off brand instead of something you'd expect out of Hasbro for $10. If they wanted a good way to customize figures they should just use the screw back design that GI Joe used to have.

ludovicotek 01-19-2013 06:39 PM

These look great!

Quasimodo 01-19-2013 07:20 PM

there's a regular line of 3.75 figures?! Thankyou Jesus

danimal 01-19-2013 08:17 PM

awful

Bubba304 01-19-2013 09:43 PM

PASS! wow....these look terrible!
