It's way more than the digital assets. The sculpts, articulation, paint and quality control are usually across the board superior.

Email those same laser scans to Vonner the Toy Biz vet and we may get a little touch of that Toy Biz quality, too! If they can do a descent quality Jurassic T Rex at $49 then Mattel / Vonner can excitingly do descent quality toys for Marvel Universe,

Your right about the bigger 6 inch CnCs not being as good as BaFs. So maybe Mattel can focus on smaller 3.75 inch toys. Yet if Mattel does a Marvel Cinematic Universe future "AoA movie Apocalyse" (the size of Mattel's T Rex at $49) that'll be a good thing for for collectors of almost any scale.

Trying to think of a good base for a Deadpool 2 Juggernaut custom that scales accurately to DP and Silverballs. Anyone have suggestions or ideas? I've already ruled out the MU Juggernaut because he is way too bulky for his screen depiction and he stands eye to eye with Colossus. May have to go with a Legends figure and shorten it, not sure.

It'll be cool if Spinmaster can repackage the YJ HoJ with additional pieces! Dave Vonner wanted to do something similar in a Hasbro repackage of his Toy Biz Fing Fang Foom.
On the note of Dave, a Bloomberg article said that Mattel may bid to make Marvel toys! Anyone on Twitter or Instagram want to ask Dave about possibly reuniting with Marvel Universe?!? Yet this time its under Mattel who favors 3.75 inch in its successful Jurassic World toys (complete with a 3.75 figure of himself), |

Hopefully they keep Vonner. If not, word has it that Bobby Vala applied to Mattel. He's a huge G.I. Joe fan who likes to say "3.75 inch is my scale." That said I'd really like to see a Vala / Vonner Team-Up.

Bobby Vala of Hasbro said collectors are now cherry picking 6 inch because there's way too much of a laborious glut. Instead of 100 Legends figures it can be 75. Along with that, an attempt at a Jurasic World 3.75 award winning sales topping toyline of 25 figures at 3.75 inches. |

I don't know why you seem to think if the license transferred from Hasbro Mattel would stop doing 6-inch figures. That's basically the industry standard for collector-focused figures at this point. Even aside from the DC license, Mattel was working in that scale for other lines like Halo and WWE.
To the point, this was one of the reasons Mattel lost the DC license for "boys action figures". While DCIH was great for the retro pocket hero fad, it ended up not long term viable, and multiverse 4" faded out really fast as well. Jurassic World was the first line to have decent staying power in that regard on the scale. Mattel needs to re-fashion their approach and prove themselves first before pushing too far ahead with licenses, which is a good thing for them anyway as they need more self-owned properties to get their market back to holding without depending on solely Barbie and Hot Wheels to sustain themselves. You can see this pretty evident with their usage of Halo and how that's approached too. Hasbro is still the best option for it right now. That and Hasbro & Marvel get along fantastic. The problem is economics is all. Which is in the process of getting gradually fixed. And thanks to Jazwares, the scale is surging in popularity to the point Hasbro will want to look into it more to feed into that craze like how Thanos appeared in Fortenite. The scale isn't forgotten, it's only on the back burner for right now to fix some other hiccups first. But yeah, 6" is the collector market staple. It's not going anywhere right now, and if anything, is set to grow more still as wider licenses are being approached by various companies for 6" for the collector market. |

Was just browsing EBay for the old Miles Morales MU(Into the Spider-verse made me want one), and found an unpainted prototype of the Gamerverse Spidey for $20, if anyone is interested.

Mattel actively has a harder time with 1:18th scale material, granted that's evolving, but they still need to fine tune their own practices to get the right balance first and prove to maintain market viability.

Here's the article which said that Mattel may bid for both Marvel and Star Wars. Notably both fanbases have a sizeable group with deep concerns over how 3.75 has been handled.
