maybe cause collectors ignored it when it was released. now nobody can find it and are scrambling to add it to their collections. scalpers are aware of this and take action by inflating the price. I wasn't collecting Marvel figs back then and completely missed out on this line until i happened to see the clearanced figs a year after they were released at TRU. My story is probably similar to a lot of marvel collectors. This same thing plagues me when trying to buy TF classics.

It was always pricy, I think because for a long time that was the only release of Astonishing Wolverine. I was always surprised the value didn't drop when the MU masked one came out.

Reason its pricey: It was rare I've seen every other XMO product at stores except Wolverine/colossus and Sabertooth/Blob I think they got released towards the end of the line, when most stores stopped stocking them
Reason its still for sale: you can ask whatever you want for something if it was actually worth 200 bucks to anyone it would be sold. I'd probably be in at 75-80, My guess is the guys fishing, two weeks it'll be up there for 150.

I disagree with that one.

I think they have done a good job with both teams. The issue with X-men is where do you draw the line? You have so many fringe groups, mutants, background characters, and revolving door members that it's near impossible to expect for them to get to them all.

What I meant was if you look at most recent cartoon and film for each, with Avengers all of the characters in the roster have been made (including all of the heroes in the A:EMH finale), whereas X-men you would be missing Forge or Banshee for the line up.

I'm with you, correct me if I'm wrong... and I very well might be, but I don't think we have the right costumes/characters to complete any specific incarnation of any X-Team. Hell they gave us two six packs (Giant Sized X-Men)(Original X-Factor) and were still missing key members if both! but I'm thinking one could make a couple different complete Avengers rosters.

What avenger line up do you think we can make if you go by costume? We don't even have full size versions of wasp and antman. Even if you use the small ant man and wasp abd don't get carried away by costumes you can make

Original team technically
Kooky quartet (no green suit quicksilver)
After swordsman leaves and before swordsman joins
David micheline run sans gotu (no safari jacket wonder man and monkey man Beast)
Movie avengers/avengers assemble

the MU waves are so weird, there is no real rhyme or reason to them, team waves would be a nice winkle they could slide in every once in a while,
they could include redos of main characters, some fringe characters and the main bad guys for that team

so a fantastic 4 wave would have the blue and black costumes, she-hulk in ff uni, some inhumans, the ff kids, mole man, molinoids, puppet master, super skrull, doombots, annihilus

also baddies waves could be cool, like a sinister syndicate wave, a masters of evil, brotherhood wave,

or alternate universe waves AOA, AOU, exiles, 2099, Squadron Supreme

or even an alien wave could have kree, shi`ar, brood, heralds of galactus

^ if hasblow would only do want the fans wanted...
look at the spider-man and iron man series. they could have easily put more villains in there and I think they would have sold better. i'm sure they aren't all those variations of spider-man in the comics...

If they'd just release a 3.75" Wasp that would complete an awful lot of Avengers line ups (though not necessarily by costume.) Also wishing we'd get Justice so I could finally have the Avengers Vol 3 post issue #4 line up, if for no other reason.

Probably the biggest miss opportunity is not releasing more characters in the Thor, Spider-man, Ironman, and Cap lines. I went to TRU today and the amount Thor figures they had were ridiculous.

Two packs are/were a good idea especially when they were closer to 10 dollars and not 20 dollars. But bad idea to have a single pack spider-man on the shelf and a two pack of Spidey and vintage Captain Britain right next to each other. Why pay 20 for Spidey when you can get him for 10? That's bad marketing.

I can't even say stop making Wolverine, Spider-man, Cap, Ironman because there's always someone that wants a variation of a character. However the variation has been weak.

And as far as game plan, sometimes there seems like their is one like a wave with Jubilee and Prof x. followed by an Angel. The Angel wave is also very Defenders/Champion heavy. Then we got a x-men three pack followed by another
X-men three pack.

Is that random or just dumb luck or a plan?

I thought I was done collecting. NOPE!

I found a proper Excalibur for the Cap

Ultraman Zoffy helped out with the Xmen pack and the Prof, grabbed Moon Knight at a cool toy consignment store. And now I'm on the lookout for the next releases. Also, snagged these shots in Zoffy's vault/butt den...

The Asics look pretty official up close.

It just occurred to me if you take the silver paint off havoc and slap an Xavier head on it you can make version of the Vanisher.
