I wonder if they'll reveal yet another X-figure at NYCC. I mean we have the leak but official reveals. I'm still holding out hope the leak may not be completely final! There's still time to include the Fuzzy Elf!

Brother, you are a saint. Read your post while my wife was on her desktop, and she didn't even hesitate in placing the order. Should be ready for pickup later this week. Mucho thanks!

Damn nice snag Raf! Cyke and Colossus for only $10 each is a great deal. Those were definitely the two that were hard to find.

Thanks...Good to know. See, I've been out of the loop a bit so I thought that the hard to find ones were going to be Cyke (of course) but instead of Colossus, I thought it would be Old Man Logan. I figured that because they only had one Logan and one Cyclops. They had at least two more of each of the rest.

The X-Men are fantastic, and shame the Warlock wave seem to lack some heavy hitters. It is hard to find a Cyclops. I got lucky early on but been coming up dry as of late. All I see are Polaris and Skater Chick Dazzler.

I think Polaris is such as awful figure. Nothing that blows your mind, just a redux Scarlett Witch IMO. Few months later, I think this wave was really lacking. Some figures were great such as SHatterstar but still....a bit of a letdown now looking back at the offerings.

As I recall, OML was for the first couple of weeks after drop but then he started showing up a lot more. One of the TRUs by me had 5 or 6 when I was there last week. A couple of the other figures, no Cyke, no Colossus.

It's funny, because it looks that way, but setting them side-by-side, they share very few pieces.

I see...yeah, that makes sense. I'll swing by tomorrow to see if the Colossus figs are still there.

I'm also interested to see what else Hasbro has planned to reveal in the upcoming months. Between the last unknown figures from the respective Spider-man and Deadpool waves, and then the possibility of more reveals from the X-men and Avengers waves.

For me its mostly the face. They coulda reused the hair I'd have been fine but to reuse the face...it killed my desire for her too.

I can see that, but it doesn't bother me, seeing as the two are relate...::cough, hack::...excuse me, as I was saying they are relatively similar in stature and have been familiar acquaintances over the past decade or so.

Truth though, I get what you're saying and just like with any figure one's mileage my vary on any figure. I don't even think she's the best sculpted figure in that wave, but given we finally got her, I'm willing to over look a lot. At any rate, and of course this is just IMO, I think she looks great. A really good mesh up of several of her looks while not being 100% true to any single look, which to be honest is what we get with a look of figures.

-------------------------------

The main reason I wanted to post was something i was reading over at Fwoosh that, unfortunately, makes a lot of sense. There's a particular issue with Marvel being contractually obligated to send royalties rights to Dave Cockrum's estate for any merchandising generated by one particular character - Nightcrawler. Has to do with how Cockrum had creator owned rights to that character vs. other characters he created (spinning out of the fact that Nightcrawler was pretty much unaltered from his Outsides creation for DC, unlike the rest of the GSXM characters introduced.

Does this mean that Hasbro cannot release a Nightcrawler figure? Not by any means. does it mean that it throws an extra kink to the system for doing so, as opposed to just about any other X-character? Yes, it does, and that really sucks...now that we have Psylocke coming, Nightcrawler is second only to Jim Lee Storm for figures I want to see redone.

Nightcrawler has been done in 3.75". Not sure why it'd be an issue for 6".

Not to mention that it seemed to be a non-factor for the TB release, MCU fig, the Icons version, and the Ultimates figure...

@BlueMarvel
I finally got the Negation series and some others. Not easy to find as CrossGen is over. Enjoying what I'm reading so far, so thank you.
And yes, Papal and Thanos are very similar, and so are many Starlin characters, but somehow I found the Lord Papal absolutely terrifying.

On a different note, I have MCU Valkyrie, and the three remaining A-force ladies I was missing arriving, so I am hope I am done for the year. Boy it was expensive!
(Not to mention I also collect Alien, Muppets, Saga, Figma Museum etc)

@Captain Nash

I don't care that Polaris wasn't super-perfect (I would have love the original costume), she and Dazzler (right outfit for me), where sore missing characters on the X-men that I wanted for years, so I have two of each.

You're so right about Starlin's tendency to cannibalize his own characters/concepts/stories. Despite my love for Dreadstar, and many of Starlin's other works, I like Giffen a little bit more...mostly for his work on LoSH. However, speaking of Giffen, inasmuch as it regards his art (which I also liked), I didn't respond to your mention of Omega Men...another book I liked as a kid (birthplace of Lobo baby!!) and another parallel between us.

Enjoy Negation, man. I know it's a pain in the arse to track down, but it's so worth it. Obregon is the man!!! You'll see...lol
