These just arrived today...and WOW...I'm really blown away by just how far Hasbro has come. Wasp might very easily be the best MCU figure YET...

^ My local Disney Store still has a ton of Antman wave Wasps on clearance for 10 bucks... only Wasps too, no one else from that wave.

That wave clogged so many pegs for years. I'm guessing that's why they didn't get their own wave this time and got folded into an Avengers wave.

Stumbled on a single Ghost Rider w/ Hellcycle when we stopped by the local TRU and snagged it for $28. Had no solid intention of buying it, but impulse and a good price won the day.

So earlier today, my MCU Ant-Man and the Wasp came in, and as I said before, I am thoroughly impressed with both. Some thoughts...

Ant-Man: Simply put, this figure takes a giant sized crap all over the MCU Ant-Man we previously received with the Ultron wave. The paints are crisp, the figure sculpt is way more accurate to the suit design of the movie, and the colors really pop. The head sculpts though are amazing. The unmasked head bears a STRONG resemblance to Paul Rudd, and while a lot of people weren't thrilled with the smirk on his face, I'm glad that we actually got an MCU head sculpt that shows a bit of personality for a change, as opposed to another static, blank expression.

My only gripes for him are minimal, and near nitpicks, but again, for some reason, we have another character with the ability to shrink, without a mini figure of themselves. In fact, outside of his alternate head(s), there's no accessories for him what-so-ever. At least the previous movie Ant-Man came with a tiny Ant-Man and Yellowjacket. Mine also had a tiny bit of paint chipping at the back where the top of the ab crunch meets the joint, but it's hardly noticeable and nothing that can't be touched up with a little bit of paint.

Wasp: Oh boy...this is the Wasp figure I never knew I needed. This one really shows what Hasbro is capable of when they want to be, and it's probably my favorite female MCU figure so far, and top 5 in terms of MCU Legends figures thus far. The paint color choices pop, the detail in the textures is unreal, the costume itself looks cool, and the helmet is awesome, allowing you to see a pair of eyes peeking through it's visor. The unmasked portrait is brilliant as well, as it perfectly captures Evangeline Lilly's likeness. I really like the backpack accessories, with one folded and the other unfolded, and she even comes with an additional set of hands for flight poses.

My only gripes...again...no tiny Wasp figure to come with it! I also would have preferred for her hair to be down instead of in a ponytail, but it's a movie accurate look for her anyways, so it's not too much of a bother. Mine also had a tiny bit of paint chipped off around the breast area, but I was able to fix it with a little bit of gold paint drybrushed over the area. Good as new...

And now for some fun stuff!

"Ohh la laa....that's a nice set of stingers you have the...."

^ LOL. That was pretty good... could totally see that happening in the movie. Since they did Kurt Russell in Legends scale they might as well and go ahead and do Michael Douglas too IMO.

MCU Pym and Ghost 2-pack.

Make it happen Hasbro.

Looking at the smirk straight on, I still don't like it. But from angles like in your pics it looks great.

Awesome pics Triv!
The only figure I want from that wave is the Black Knight. But I also want the BAF. Time to ask for parts!
But seriously, anyone looking to sell those BAF parts?

Same here. But I'm willing to concede getting the entire wave if there's no black order set coming simply because it just feels weird to get just the BAF (I know it's legit, it's just a personal thing.) It's not like the rest of the figures are bad or anything I just am neutral on them.

I'm just trying to cut back on what I'm buying. I figure by not buying movie characters, I can save money. Granted, the Black Dwarf figure is a movie figure, but he makes a good stand in for a comic version. I'm still hoping we get a comic set. People on a Facebook page were saying that the Black Order is confirmed as the SDCC set, but they had no sources to back it up. I hope Hasbro revels the set soon so I don't drop money on a BAF that I could get in a set. I already got Proxima.

Thank you as well. I'll be dumping the BAF parts to these, just to pet you know. No interest in Black Dwarf.

The ponytail makes it look that way, but they are very different I assure you.

Welp, less money to spend on that set. If it turns out to be anything X-related I'm boned, but if it's just the Black Order, I'm good. I mean, they're cool and all, but it's not my jam.

Actually...same. Though I would not turn down an Alpha Flight, New Mutants, Hellfire Club, Black Order, New Warriors or Thunderbolts set. If it's Black panther related which is the other big rumor, I will likely pass even if it does have a comic Man-Ape...I can't imagine anything else Black Panther related we don't already have that I would want.

Maw and Glaive are definitely worthy of having their own two pack. I’m not sure why they held those guys out to give us some of these other figures. I’m not looking forward to fighting for them if they are in a SDCC set. My Legends funds took a hit after moving. Finally going through all of my figures made me realize how many I need to get rid of.

Because Hasbro rarely completes a team in either scale. I mean, in either scale we got 6 of the 7 main defenders, but we're missing Hellcat in small scale and Nighthawk in this scale. Let's not even talk about Alpha Flight....but yeah, with only 4/5 members if you go by movies or comics, you'd think they could do it, they HAVE completed several 4/5 member teams (F4, Wrecking Crew, original 5 x-men and Avengers)

I wouldnt worry too much. The majority of the sdcc sets of recent years have been released as normal retail figs. Id be fine if glaive and maw were walgreens exclusives. I dunno why hasblow doesnt give us complete teams at retail. Seems like they want scalpers to plague us.

So, with all the different variations of Spider-Man that Hasbro is giving us, where the heck is Web-Man? I mean, that's gotta be the easiest repaint to do, right?
