I'll admit I had to look up Reese's signature look but it is significantly different from Skullbuster. As you mentioned, Reese is one of the more human looking Reavers and that's why I don't get why they couldn't give him his own body. Heck, looking at my collection now I can see that Hasbro had enough parts to cobble together a decent looking Reese or if they wanted to slap a Reese head on a completed body then I would've went with a slightly retooled tactical Killmonger.
Think of how many bodiless comic canon heads we’ve received for characters of some relevance and renown: Silvermane, Hammerhead, J. Jonah, Dirk Anger, and Madcap are surely more widely known and coveted than Colleen. While most of these characters are pretty important to many fans, none of them have been ‘finished’ nor is it likely that they will be. I believe that Hasbro, in conjunction with a vibrant kit-bashing/customizing community, thinks that they’re doing us a favor by throwing these heads our way and expecting us to fill in the gaps. The lesser comic canon characters are merely afterthoughts to Hasbro and will only get attention if there is media (movies/TV) to support them. I’m not happy with this, but I don’t see much changing in the foreseeable future either. Last edited by TheBlueMarvel; 01-24-2019 at 02:30 PM.. |

Lilandra looks great on the SilverSable body- I don't think that was an accident, the coloring is too perfect. ...and while i doubt we'll see more to MadCap- DP did cut his head off at one point, Umtil i painted it into AoA Morph, the Madcap head to me was more of an accessory than it's own thing. lol

With the Spiderman shelf getting a bit too overcrowded I had to turn to alternative display options for some of my favorite themes- first one is Maximum Carnage- now as a nice, compact Shadowbox hanging on the wall. Printed a comic NYC background, cut it into layers for a bit of 3D, then poked some holes to twist-tie the figures into place (so it's easy to get into a re-arrange if necessary)

Dang- I've had 3- the one there with the Marvel Nights, a second I kept MIB with the Thunderbolts (sold recently) and a 3rd i used for custom fodder... If they release her again (at retail) I would definitely grab more for parts. That open top though makes me think we won't be seeing her like this anytime soon- but you never know

Sooo...does anyone know when that high end Lockjaw announced last year goes on sale? Was it Mafex? Mezco? I've never ordered from either. I'm also kind of hedging my bets on order it because they haven't announced the Avengers waves BAF yet and I'll be damned if Lockjaw doesn't deserve to be the comic wave BAF.

![]() ![]() I finally got movie Carol, it hasn't been that long since the wave dropped but so far all I've found in my area are the comic figures. I think the Brie Larson likeness is better than official pictures but it still feels off, it's definitely not on par with the excellent likenesses we've gotten lately from Hasbro. It might be the jawline or the eyebrows that are throwing it off. The masked head is actually pretty great though, the smirk is a nice touch and unlike official pictures the mouth is actually painted. The funny thing is that in the comics I don't like the mask at all but on the movie version I kinda dig it. The rest of the figure is good but standard fare at this point, except for the alternate hands which pretty much just suck. They're not just open like the jacket version's, they're flat like she's pushing a wall. Are they supposed to be energy blasting hands? Is she getting a manicure? I don't know, they're awkward and I will just stick 'em in with my other alternate parts.

I might be the minority, but after seeing some reviews of the Kree Sentinel, I think it is not so bad, but still down on the rest of the wave...

What are your thoughts on it? I have been thinking about buying it but I'm not 100% sold. I have the old Zola and Hydra Cap came and went with very little fanfare. But I kind of dig both designs.
