![]() If you don't have any, there are some for sale on eBay. One guy is selling the arm and figure clamp (no base though) for $10 a piece. But there are a couple of people selling the complete stand for around $12. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...LH_TitleDesc=0 |

Still can't find the Walmart exclusive Cap anywhere...but where Walmart continues to fail, Target doesn't because I did run into the Spider-Man/Michelle two pack today. I'm pleasantly surprised by it, but not for the reasons you would think. Here's a few thoughts.
School Jacket Spidey: To be honest, this guy turned out to be a big surprise, but not because I like the figure. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad figure by any means, but I would have rather have received Peter in full civilian attire as opposed to this very specific look that appeared for a heartbeat in the film. That gripe aside, it has a resounding positive that makes it a keeper, and it's in the fact that all of the heads from previous Homecoming Spidey figures WILL work with it, allowing you a ton of expressive versatility. ![]() Even the Tom Holland head will work (although mine has admittedly been altered slightly to work on the Iron Spider body as well.) In the past, this is the sort of thing that Hasbro tends to screw up by using different neck peg sizes, but in this case, they managed to get it right. Shocked the hell out of me. Bravo Hasbro, Bravo... ![]() Still would have preferred Peter in jeans and some sneakers though... Michelle (MJ): Now this is the figure that we really wanted out of this set, and I'm glad to have it. I love civilian bodied figures (which is something we need more of) and to get one in a teen build for the MCU is great. It's hard to tell if they shrank down a Netflix JJ or if this is an entirely new mold, but it works and I'm glad to have it. The only gripe that I have with it is that the gripping hand is from an adult mold, and is oversized as a result. The skin tone on them doesn't match the paint on the arm as well, making the hands appear to have a reverse farmers tan. Where the figure really shines though is the headsculpts. These might be the two best female headsculpts of the MCU figures yet, giving the last two Black Widows a run for their money. The ponytail one is especially good in hand. In addition, in another shocker by Hasbro, while the heads will appear to be a bit smaller on them, the heads can fit on adult bodies if desired because Hasbro didn't use those tiny neck pegs they usually use with teen figures. I cannot stress how happy this makes me as this opens up a plethora of new display options without having to permanently alter them. Want MJ to be a part of the time heist? You can do it. Or how about an older, more mature version of her? Stick the head on the Claire body (which is a perfect skin tone match) from the Luke Cage two pack, and you're set! ![]() All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised by this set. I was totally expecting to have to mod and tweak things here and there to get a little more playability out of them, and for Hasbro having already thought of that and having them ready to go right out of the box was a treat. I highly recommend it, if only for the MJ alone, although the Spidey is not a totally bad consolation prize. ![]() Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 05-28-2019 at 06:11 PM.. |

Smiling Zendaya headsculpt kinda reminds me of Nia Peeples from North Shore (1987)... just need to put a flower in her ear.

Beens seeing people use the bearded Peter Parker head from Cap Universe on Mysterio and it actually doesn't look too bad.

I just picked up the original version of this figure. It's not a bad sculpt for what was likely a $10 dollar toy at the time. Although, after picking up several Marvel movie figures from that era, I'm convinced these figure were meant to be a 5.5" scale.

The one on the left is the 10’th Anniversary Iron Man MK1. But he was just a slightly better painted reissue of the one from the first movie line from like 11 years ago! He was literally shorter than suited tony stark! I added 3/4 an inch of height and some new armor platting and paint. The right is Battle damaged iron man ...like, what? my 40 something ... from the CW three pack with spidey and cap. I just tried to make the damage more movie accurate than the two round squirts of black paint they put on it, I can’t remember if the Tony head came with that pack, but it was pre face print I adjusted the hair and beard line and gave him the black eye he seems to get in every movie, I barely recognize RDJ without a black eye.

Bit the bullet and paid $35 for Beast. Now I only need Blink and Skullbuster, which are most definitely going to be the peg warmers of the series. Since I’m not even that pressed about completing Caliban, I’d say I’m ready for the Vintage Wave, X Force wave (both of which I will be cherry picking) and Collossus/Juggs. I can breathe easy for now.

Has anyone out there had any luck finding the Walmart Cap? I still can't seem to track one down despite my best efforts.
If anyone comes across one, lemme know! So to follow up on the rumor posts from social media recently, there's been some updates to some of the possible 80th anniversary leaks Supposedly we will receive a Logan 3 pack. Maybe this is what they meant by suits...as in a different uniforms of Wolverine that haven't been done yet (Astonishing and X-force come to mind) as well as a newly tooled suit bodied Logan? The X-Men two pack is rumored very heavily to be a set with Polaris and Havok (X Factor looks maybe?) The Venom variant is rumored to be Agent Anti-Venom (BOOOOOO!) The Punisher variant is rumored to be a camouflage version of the Punisher, which has me thinking it's a redo of the Nemesis wave Punisher (with the alternate costume from the X-box/PS2 game) which is a horrible figure of a cool look that commands a steep price. |

In my experience so far it's Forge and Skullbuster who are lingering the longest at the very few stores where I've seen the wave.

I mean, I'll buy any X-Men pack of any sort, but that two-pack would be the Motts. Unless it turns out to be really appealing, though, I think I can pass on a Wolverine 3-pack. And big yawn on Punisher. They got me with the Walgreens one, but that's all I'm going for.

Hopefully Agent Anti Venom will use a different base body or get a new mold. I could see them making a camo Punisher using either the Netflix Punisher or Killmonger bodies. But I seriously doubt they'll resurrect that old military body that the Nemesis wave Punisher used. |

Now, both her and Polaris are on The Gifted, though Polaris is almost unbearable as a character in that show (I don't know if it's just the actress that makes me want to change the channel whenever Polaris is the focus of a scene). How they're current media incarnations apply to toys, I can't be too sure but I think Blink has more of a positive presence at the moment so that'd definitely get some sales for kids as well as collector's. |

All right, I can get behind a Jean, Scott, and Logan pack. Especially worded that way, it gives me hope for, if not civilian versions of Scott and Logan, at least unmasked heads.

Mother of gawd... that checklist. My guess is 90's Jean redo, but you gotta rebuy Tiger Stripe Wolverine and Jim Lee Cyclops. And if that Polaris and Havok 2 pack is their 90's version... greatest pack ever. LOL. Been waiting for a 90's Havok in any scale since forever.

Jean, Scott and Logan? Aw come on, it should be Jean, Scott, and Madelynn. Oh well, maybe it'll be the Jim Lee brown suited version of Wolverine with the X belt.
I hope it's the X-Factor version of Havok and Polaris. No interest in the rest, especially another Deadpool variant and Punisher as War Machine. Oh, and Deathlok, really? Why would they already rerelease a peg warmer?
