Also, when are we going to get a comic Kurse? They talked about a deluxe Mangog in one of the recent live events, which would make me as giddy as a kid on a candy high in a toystore at a theme park. But surely, if Mangog's on a shortlist, 616 Kurse should also be somewhere on the radar. Which also makes me wonder why Hasbro has waited so long to deliver a new Legends Destroyer. If we're lucky he won't change outfits for GotG vol3 so we'll get that look then. I really liked how his Endgame outfit evoked his DnA uniform so to never get a figure of it would be a bummer.

Apparently he's very unhappy with his experience from Iron Man 2, allegedly most of the scenes he filmed wound up cut out entirely or butchered in editing to give the film a lighter tone and fit in more action. So I doubt he'd be on board for selling his likeness so they can make a toy. Hasbro probably could do the Crimson Dynamo (not the official name but that's what I call it) armor from the finale but it was short-lived and not entirely remarkable so there might not be enough interest. In general Whiplash is still considered one of the MCU's lamest villains and a waste of talent.

The likeness may not be a problem on his end, but it could be Marvel not wanting to make a figure of a guy who just recently was calling them shit on social media.
For the same reason I'm assuming that Hot Toys Cyborg figure is probably never coming out despite having been teased back in 2017... Still I guess they could make his armored look from the final battle where his face is covered. |

Ooo... I saw someone on Fwoosh use the Red Hood head for X-men Animated Morph... such a good idea... makes me want to get Red Hood now.

Mickey's always been a pretty willful personality and I wouldn't be surprised if he told Marvel Studios where they could go were they to approach him about merchandising or reprising the role. Too bad too, Rourke and Rockwell were my two favorite things about that movie.
Lol Rourke holds grudges like a champ. He still has some sort of beef with De Niro from nearly 40 years ago when they did Angel Heart together. |

^ Those older toy biz Legends had the best packaging IMO, plus the free comic... plus the indestructible clamshell, but the technology wasn't ready yet for action figures. For me Marvel Legends didn't pass the "good enough" threshold until like... mid 2014-ish.
He's great! He mostly knows about He-man and SW stuff though, but it is always interesting when he talks about the actual production part of the business. |

or you can have the Red Hood figure as your very own Bruce Campbell figure since thats who he reminds me of.
I know nothing about the Red Hood character anyway so I dunno i he's in a current new Marvel comic recently or whatever. |

The somewhat apoplectic internet response to the Hood by Legends collectors feels a tad misplaced IMO. Not being a fan of the character potentially makes me less reactive to what Hasbro has cobbled, but, ostensibly speaking, it looks like what was depicted circa the early aughts by Marvel. Maybe they could have offered different choices for heads with a more staid expression, or maybe a demonic version. But other than that, it appears to be pretty faithful in that the hood was a normal dude who wore slacks/jeans/chinos (lol yeah, right?), had a flimsy 'dad' zip-up windbreaker thingie, and magical hooded cape 'tailored' by Dormammu. Even the cancelled prototype people were gaga for wasn't far from what has ultimately been delivered and the initial proto was made even less accurate (in comparison) by adding Fury's combat pants and boots, things I don't recall the Hood wearing. Hasbro shouldn't be held to blame for what was possibly a lazy character design on the part of the publisher - generally, I only fault Hasbro for things within their power to influence.
All said, and as previously mentioned, I'll never be confused for a Hood fan, so my investment is minimal. I was nonplussed when introduced to the character in The New Avengers and always wondered what the mystique was all about. The fact that he gave them such a hard go of it diminished that Avengers team in my eyes. I often found myself wondering why they didn't just yank the cape off him and knock his ass out. Meh. Ultra-7 brought up a salient point about waiting for a favorite hero/villain to get the 'treatment' from Hasbro, only to be crestfallen when there are slight (but significant) missteps in the final product. The Hood doesn't represent that for me and I'm content to use the fig as a screaming civilian bystander to (or participant in) mayhem...lol ![]() Here's another guy people were unhappy with, but turned out just fine for me due to my lack of deep investment...I'm glad to have the iconic version, but I like the updated look as well. I believe there WAS some 3.75 inch figures of whiplash when the movie came out, so maybe Marvel still has those rights?

New reveal coming today: https://mobile.twitter.com/DanYunIsT...11118222794757
Who’s somebody simple that requires no/ almost no new tooling that still manages to be inaccurate & lazy-looking? |

And they’ll base him off of the first Google image they find, so...
![]() This. Just close enough to classic that they won’t understand what we’re complaining about, with an odd headsculpt and the wrong coloration on the “wings.” And whatever you just pictured as the way you’d like it least if they did the wings, that’s what they’ll do. When people ask for a rerelease, they’ll rerelease the nineties variant. They put much more thought into that one because that’s the era they actually care about. Finally, we’ll get a perfect version of Age Of Apocalypse Banshee that three people were very vocally asking for. Funny you should mention Polaris. She was another top want of mine for a long time (can’t explain why, she’s always been one of my favorite X-Men). When they announced her, I was floored, and then she actually turned out awesome. I was even happier with X-Factor Polaris. I would be happier still with Shi’Ar Polaris, but I can’t see them making that. Last edited by Ultra Seven; 06-04-2021 at 09:12 AM.. |

Siryn. They just need to take Firestar's body and add a cheap cape like they did with Lee Storm and and new head.

Thanks, Spyne. I knew when I was setting it up that I was going to like the outcome. I posted that years ago when she first came out, I guess you missed it.
Same as this one: ![]() Quote:

But as a fan who is invested and owns nearly everything produced (not bragging, nor establishing a sense of entitlement, just adding perspective on my fandom), I believe a healthy amount of constructive criticism is essential to keeping something that I like 'something that I like'. Some fans believe being a fan means offering no to very little critical feedback, but that's counterproductive to protracted enjoyment in my estimation. Quote:
