I swear that Amazon is just trolling me with the AoA wave.

Like with Cyclops, Sabertooth arrived without any notification of him being shipped out AND now that means the figure I need last is the one that comes with the body. Thus, I have Colossus' head, arms, and legs all sitting on my shelf wait for a body to attach to.

As of my typing this, Dorkside has the retro FF wave (as a full set) listed in stock. High Evolutionary, Sue, and Johnny are listed as available in stock individually.

Yeah, the early Dawn of X New Mutants issues were rough. It does get a bit better, but overall this was the most disappointing Dawn book.

No, there’s one Psylocke, namely Kwannon. And then there’s Captain Britain, otherwise known as Betsy. I don’t love it either, as I have no idea why Kwannon would want to call herself Psylocke, or wear that outfit, if she really feels like Betsy somehow did her dirty. It feels like the last way she’d want to handle her new life, unless it’s just all about spite. I wouldn’t worry, though. Betsy will be back to being Psylocke soon enough.

Holy crap... Disney+ is bringing back the X-men Animated Series... same voice actors too I think. No wonder they started doing those Animated X-men Legends.

Having the last week off and making a few trips out in the Nashville area, I've found most of the AOA wave - still hunting Cyclops but I'm content to be patient.

Also found the three figures I wanted from the What If wave - Captain Carter, Zombie Cap and Strange, and the Nebula and Star Lord that I didn't want.

And of course, a glut of Eternals in all but one store, which had very little in the way of legends at all. But still...nice to see actual figures around in stores. Finding something I wanted at a retail store was a little thrilling.

And I am so excited for X-Men 97! It's going to be a long wait.

Well, the still living ones.

I'm not sure how I feel about this, honestly. I would have rather had a new series that is an exact adaptation of the Claremont run in order and stuff rather than a sequel that is clearly just banking on nostalgia. Since it's happening though, I'd like to see them actually tackle the Brood properly.

It's gonna be "woke". No thanks, I'll stick to the 90s classic.

I'm also on the fence for X-Men 97. I loved the original series when I was younger and getting more story seems like a good thing.

But tv show revivals can be a mixed bag. And voices can change as people age. The voice actor can still do the character voice but the voice sounds older or there's some grit to it. On top of all that, I never felt like X-Men The Animated Series ended prematurely or with unfinished business.

I tend to see the term woke as, "It doesn't fit my personal opinion because I don't like it when things speak against racism, fascism, sexism, homophobia, etc. I don't like it when my penis is threatened by a strong, well written, female character."

I know people are on the fence about the "X-Men '97" animated series and I can certainly understand why. But personally, I'm so thrilled, I can't properly put into words how excited I am to see this series continue. Since the original crew members like Larry Houston and Eric and Julia Lewald are consultants on the series, that makes me feel a lot better knowing that the project should be in good hands.

I also love that eight of the voice actors have been confirmed to reprise their roles: Cal Dodd (Wolverine), Lenore Zann (Rogue), Alison Sealy-Smith (Storm), George Buza (Beast), Chris Potter (Gambit), Catherine Disher (Jean Grey), Adrian Hough (Nightcrawler) and Christopher Britton (Mister Sinister). Alyson Court won't be voicing Jubilee, as the role will be recast, but Court will join the cast as a new unannounced character. Since some voice actors like Norm Spencer (Cyclops), David Hemblen (Magneto) and Rick Bennett (Juggernaut and Colossus) have passed away, I'm curious who will be cast in those roles. Other new voice actors for the series include Jeff Bennett, Jennifer Hale and Holly Chou. I have no idea if Ron Rubin will return as Moroh, since he was a popular character (though personally, I never cared much for the character).

Since we're getting "X-Men: The Animated Series" figures from Hasbro now, I hope this means we'll get new Jim Lee era figures for characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey and Beast re-released in the main Marvel Legends line without cel-shading. A new Magneto with an improved head sculpt and a non-Walgreens exclusive Mystique would be nice too.

I'm curious to see when Hasbro will do a new live-stream or reveals for November. I'm hoping to see at least the Marvel Legends 20th anniversary figures for Hulk and Toad revealed before the end of the year.

I realized I forgot to chime in about the X-Men 97 announcement. Considering me: Absolutely. Beyond. Stoked. I loved TAS and while it had a good ending (not really any loose strings) and the 5th season was IMO of lower quality than the first 4, reviving this series is fantastic news.

I'm not huge on the 90s show, but Ray Chase is voicing a character and that alone shall make me watch.

If they continue it with the 90s era & the animation is similar to the 90s but improved, that would be a plus. Hopefully they include more Sentinel related stories & maybe that finally gets Hasbro to give us 16' scaled classic DOFP Byrne Sentinels!

Id rather they just make a new xmen toon rather then continue the 90’s one. It had a good ending which almost never happened with cartoons back then. That way those who dont want the old toon tarnished can still watch it unmolested and then disney can make a new one in similar vein with all the pcism they want.

Agreed Harbinger, but sadly, that's not the case.

Except for the PCism, as X-Men was always dealing with that. That's the entire plot.

Personally, I'd like them to finally do the Brood right and adapt God Loves, Man Kills.

The Brood have never appealed to me being as they're Marvel's blatant ripoff of Aliens.

Of course...now that the Xenomorph has moved into Marvel's Universe...they could just have them encounter the X-Men as opposed to their Brood doppelgangers...

Alien hasn’t entered Marvel’s universe, though. Marvel just publishes their comics and uses the opportunity to do fun crossover covers. Alien is still a separate universe.

I still think they are awesome nonetheless and the stories revolving around them were quite good during the Claremont run.

Shame that with Target's buy 2 get 1 free deals, there is absolutely nothing I want from ML, don't collect MCU & some figs I do want, don't come out till 22'. As for the remainder of this yr, only fig left on my want list is Qausar. Hope he hits my local Walgreens by yr's end. If anyone is getting the Excaliber 3 pack & doesn't care for Cap Britain, I'll take him off your hands.
