I was quite mad when they made Satana look like Lilith. I love the classic Satana with the horns and all. Adore the whole Tomb of Dracula comic. Plus Bizarre Adventures. That was my first adult comic ever. Black Widow, Thor, Lady Daemon, the whole lot. And yes. I like my 70's Blade, Power Man, Misty, etc. Oohhh memories. Wish they recaptured that old black and white comic, with pride for the new generations... Like they bring back old music or classic films... Anyway. Boring. Haha.

No worries. I didn't take it as a challenge. I just see so much new (figuratively) on it that it definitely has me excited and hopeful that it's not just a well put together custom of Eric...

I didn't know of him until he debuted on Spider-Man on Fox, so this was the Blade I grew up with...I fricken loved that figure..

I will buy them all, don't worry. And give them as presents, as I often do.
People of my age will get her. It's a dream come true.
Blue outfit will follow. For sure. But starting at the beginning of Dazzler is not a bad thing.

So much information to process and so little time on the computer today before I must head to rest. I'm almost wanting to hold off until after the con is over, to get a full run of figures commented on but I can't contain my happiness over today's reveals.

Said in my earlier comments, Dazzler. Amazing. All that I can say on that. She was not even one of my most wanted X-Men and I absolutely love this figure. The highlight of the day for me. I want to add on the "outfit controversy", I was introduced to blue 80's outfit Dazzler. And I would have been completely happy with that version of her. But I totally respect that this look is her first and probably more iconic look, and definitely unique. But I'm not going to belittle those who would rather have had a different version. Actually I say, why can't we have both LOL. Besides, this way...we get rollerskates. Freaking rollerstakes people!

Dr. Strange wave, I'm still hoping for the Enchantress rumor to pan out later on this week, but for what we've got, it's a very mixed bag. Not caring so much for the different Dr. Strange figures, already have two Iron Fists and a Bother Voodoo..but I will definitely get Nico and Mordo (which, I could care less if he's traditional Mordo or not. He is what he's cast as in the movie.) I do wish we'd gotten an Ancient One, Clea, or Wong, but it is what it is. Just some missed opportunities.

Spider-Man, another mixed bag for me. Only because I'm kind of over having so many different spider-man versions. I will absolutely get Ms. Marvel and Jackal, maybe Green Goblin, but the various Spider-man(s) are easy passes for me. To each their own though. A shame about no Shocker, again..and we are nearing filling out the major Spider-Man rogue's gallery with Jackal. Just need Shocker, Scorpion (finally remembered him for once!) a proper Mysterio, Morlun, and a redo of Dr. Octopus and Vulture and I think we're there, right? BTW, is this wave for late 2016 or early 2017?

So why am I so happy? Because the good in those waves is really good. Also because of Dazzler and Angela. Which I spoke on Dazzler already but Angela looks fantastic. Absolutely going to purchase and while I thought she fit better with a Thor wave, I think a GOTG wave makes sense as well, and that way we get it earlier! I am "meh" on Nova, but that's just me. I don't disregard anyone's opinions that Sam IS Nova, I just don't care for the character under his mantle.

Again I stress I hope that we will see the rest of the X-Men wave before weekend's end, or at least Polaris. Hasbro knows she and Enchantress were among the most wanted, so if they do want to reveal the "best for last" it will be them, IMO. Not surprised about X-Men being 2017 though I was hoping that if it was this year it might mean we'd get two X-waves a year. As for the Wolverine wave, since we never had skus or item numbers, I'm not overly surprised we haven't seen anything yet, for all we know that really could have just been a really well done wishlist. I'm still hoping it isn't though, I really want it to be real! I do have a good feeling that the rest of the X-wave will be accurate, the Spider-Man wave rumor was except for Shocker, although I'll be honest in saying I would take a Madrox over a Shatterstar any day.

The poll, I don't have instagram but if I did I would be voting for Songbird so much. Definitely needed (long haired version please!) and I feel kind of bad for Solo. I think that particular poll at least was "gimme". It will be interesting to see who else shows up.

And yes, to those who mention Monica, we need her done some how some way. The Wasp outfit looks like it could be reworked very easily into her Spectrum outfit. She is among the very last handful of core classic avengers that need to be made. I'm not counting remakes, I agree that She-Hulk needs to be redone hell most of the first two waves of Hasbro's ML need to be redone.

Anyways before I write a book I'm going to wrap this up for today. Not sure what goodness we'll see tomorrow but hopefuly we'll have a lot more to oooh and ahh over on Saturday. Already so much of a better year than last year when I walked away only being happy about Mockingbird (despite the ton I've spent this year besides on her. LOL)

I have lived to thoroughly regret it...to make matters worse, there were like five of them.
Joseph, Jesus and Mary! I am so sorry! I adore my dragon man. Can't remember how I got him. It was years ago. It's a nightmare to get. Crazy really. There are some toys I did not get at the right time, and then they went for hundreds of dollars. And somehow I lost interest.
I love my dragon, and would not sell it, even if they do a new one. I like the character, but man, the prices they were asking for a piece of plastic. I did find a UK seller that was normal, and I then got it. I got some hot toys, that now go for insane prices.
I drop the line, at some point. I will only pay so much for some stuff. And sometimes I wait. Others not. I seem to have a sixt sense. I just follow it and hope for the best.

What a lovely recap. You have a good rest. I agree with 90 %. Don't care abou Shocker ( shocking I know, but I have one). I am very happy with the reveals.and again your right. The most exciting figure was Mockingbird. And funny enough turn out to be one of the best.
Fingers cross for Dazzler.

I'm on the UK, so I am still awake.
So this is my Marvel legends opinion:
Last years, was Rogue. This years it's Dazzler. As much as I adore every type of Spider-man clone/alternate etc. I love odd characters that I find essential to the comics I read when I was growing up. "disco" Dazzler is one of them.
You may like her or not. I don't care. To me, Dazzler helped rescued Professor X, Storm and Colossus from the Hellfire Club, in one of the most amazing comics ever. Yes. The one where wolverine ends up in the gutter promising revenge. The stakes were high. Jean, was the hottest lady in the planet. Storm was powerful, but vulnerable, Cyclops made sense, Nightcrawler was the nicest guy, and Colossus, was the big brother. And Wolverine was the revengeful shit, that would care secretly; It was magic. It was exciting and the stakes were high. And Dazzler, in her disco outfit was a great help.
This to me (part of the Dark Phoenix saga) was what captivated me. And that's why, and no other, incarnation of Dazzler, makes sense as her, in her first figure ever.
It's simply because that's when the X -Men became the huge success, that develope into a TV show, and movies, and coffee cups. But, it all started in the late 70's with Chris Claremont and John Byrne, and their X-men upheaval, that propelled them to stardom.
Hence, someone, somewhere, said this ( the disco era) Dazzler made total sense, as the first Dazzler figure. She was part of it, part of the myth and anything else would have been a travesty.

Those are all my favorites versions also. I'm a throwback of sorts. I listen to old roots rock reggae, old soul, old funk, old rap, and 80's 90's garage/deep house. I like some newer trends as well, but older artistic expression of all stripes (Shaw Bro movies, horror, Sci-fi, cartoons/anime) is where my heart is...it ain't boring, it's classic!

That Blade was cool too. I think they were going for a 90's approximation of the original look for Blade...High-top fade in lieu of a 'fro. lol

my problem with the dazzler is which team will she fit in with? with the x-men figures we have (if you support the x-men legends) she cant fit in with any of them in that outfit , and when she warms the pegs i hope hasbro learns and never makes another fig of her, but if she sells well than i guess they should but i seriously doubt she will and i hope they learn from this PoS figure.

That's a little harsh to call it a POS. It's not the first costume I would picked admittedly, but it's still an iconic costume of hers regardless, being it her look from her first appearance during the Dark Phoenix Saga (not to mention this look was teased with liberties in the recent X-Men movie when Cyclops had the "Dazzler" album...)

Seems that the promotional photos for the figures revealed are already up on other sights, and for those wondering, it does seem that Kamala will have removable swap out limbs, as the figure has different looking arms and hands in the promo shot from the figure we saw on the floor.

I still can't believe that Dr. Strange is being re-released with nothing new other than different colored effects and a cape that looks like it fits poorly on him, over a classic comic Strange. Hopefully this figure DOESN'T include a BAF piece...

As I read opinions and look at the pictures over and over... Dazzler is growing on me. She is from my favorite time in comics and she will be displayed with my classic X-MEN team.

I'm still really excited for Dazzler. I think going with the disco look works nicely, since currently there isn't just one era they're pulling the character's looks from

It wasn't pulled because it was stupid...it was pulled simply because Singer was trying to shave some time off of what was already a long film, like the rumored Jubilee "powers" scene.

You're entitled to you opinion, but the truth of the matter is that this is one of the costumes that Dazzler is most known for. Just Google it and look at how many times it pops up, both in artwork of the past, as well as in newer works.

( though who am i kiddin im still gonna buy it but still )
the new costume has grown on me since i been reading his on going series, however i also like the original a tad more.
