				 | Quote: I'm starting to think that the final Civil War wave will go the route of many of Hasbro's late Walmart waves of Legends at this rate, and that many of the figures might be highly coveted in the years ahead unless something dramatic happens shipping wise. Most of my stores have been buried in the Xmen and now Strange wave, with some limited Space Venoms straggling about and absolutely NO Abomination figures and one or two Giant Man figures left over from the one or two cases they received. I'm not entirely sure what the hang up was, whether it had something to do with three waves of figures being tied to one film, or just Legends exhaustion in general, but at this rate, I can see many of these figures driving hard prices on the secondary market in the future, even the ones like Iron Skull or Eel that we originally thought would be languishing until Christmas. |

It almost is a little bit too much of a good thing with the amount of figures releasing as of late. Spacing things out a bit would certainly help with clearing stock on shelves. I still see lots of Hawkeyes and Sentries just hanging out waiting for someone to take them home.

Well the biggest problem is that stores use the same sku for different lines because they see them as all the same product. All spider man figures are the same, Avengers are the same, and Captain America lines are the same. (this goes for Star Wars Black figures as well) The only time a new Sku is used is when there is a new line like the Ant Man wave, X-men , or Doctor Strange. But the next x-men line will be the same sku as the current one. So all those Havok and Iceman clogging the shelves will start the process all over for stores stock.

				 | I decided to do catch-up and ordered Captain Marvel online before I totally missed my chance (not that she's hard to find online but I didn't want to keep on waiting and end up regretting it).

				 | Quote: This issue has been bugging me for a while now, with the huge quantity of new waves ( it seems like one a month sometimes) do you think they're producing fewer or each figure? I've yet to see a wave past onslaught get restocked. Plus everyone use to bitch about rare one per case figures, now everything is one per case! Now if you miss a figure like dead pool in a couple months it's like he came out ten years ago. Another part of the problem lies in the packaging and listing of these things themselves with retailers. The old ToyBiz waves would tell you clearly on the sides of the shipping boxes, as well as in the ordering listings, what was inside. You knew if you were getting Series 6, or the Sentinel wave when you were ordering or stocking. With the way Hasbro has been labeling and listing them, you don't know. You just know you're getting Marvel Legends Spider-Man or Cap, with no other info to identify them outside of the names of the individual figures themselves. To further compound this issue has been the fact that Hasbro has issued multiple case repackd mid wave, causing even more confusion to retailers. As for one per case figures, only in instances where there are less than 8 figures in a wave are you finding all one per case (such as the new Strange or Xmen waves.) Most of the waves in the past year have carried doubles of certain figures, and in most cases, Hasbro has done a good job of picking the right ones to double pack (Pizza Spidey and 2099 for the Hobgoblin wave, or the two teenager Spideys for the Space Venom Wave for example.) Deadpool just ended up on the wrong end of an 8 figure wave. Last edited by Trivial Psychic; 10-13-2016 at 08:06 PM.. |

I also inquired about Scarlet Witch (and really the entire Abomination wave) at my LCBS. Learned two things: 1) Scarlet Witch was sold out immediately (which is to be expected) 2) Apparently, they got a few cases of the wave but Hasbro hasn't shipped out any more and they're apparently not expecting anymore for a while. My LCBS only has Cap, Brian and Eel right now. I was hoping to at least find Wonder Man or Iron Skull. I can only assume this is what happened everywhere else, at least the places that were lucky enough to get a box in the first place. I'm almost contemplating just buying a Scarlet Witch for the lowest price available via eBay, but I know I'm gonna do that and end up finding it at retail or for retail price like two weeks later. Enchantress arrived yesterday, and she's pretty much what I expected from a Scarlet Witch headswap but she's a very nice figure, good paint, loving the smirking face sculpt. One thing I'm really happy for is her hair - it's a very nice, flexible rubber-plastic as opposed to the longer hair on some other recent figures (Phoenix, Mockingbird) that's a solid lump and impossible to work with for posing.

Hey guys I'd like your opinion on something. Where do you think it would be best to go find Marvel Legends figures? Target or Toys R Us? For the Target I usually go to they have now put all the Marvel collectable items behind an aisle with DC collectable items. And the aisle where everything used to be so neatly put together is now mostly reserved an entire aisle for just Star Wars items. (I haven't been there for awhile so I didn't get the chance to get Rogue One stuff) but mostly The Force Awakens which honestly looked like has been there forever lol Anyway I'm still able to find the Marvel items behind the aisle but it sometimes can get frustrating as there's not that much of a selection like it used to be. Toys R Us has a huge Marvel aisle all by itself and I can't recall if I was able to find any Marvel Legends figures when I went there awhile ago. Compared to Toys R Us, Target does have cheaper prices which sometimes if I'm doing my own personal shopping there I'll hit the toy aisles and see what they got. Also are there any stores you guys know of besides TRU and Target that would be good for finding Legends figures? |

I might look at Walmart too it's also been ages since I've been at a kmart lol Quote: My first real BAF I was trying to assemble was the Thanos wave. You're right it does really depend on location, and thanks for all the suggestions. Kohl's I had forgotten about that one lol One of the figures I had gotten was the BAF Thanos Head and I had some fun posing the figure with that lol had my figures kicking it around like it was a soccer ball. I was so close to completing him too. I might go back and buy the last two parts I needed. Last edited by StarGirl; 10-14-2016 at 11:49 AM.. |

You can also try the discount places like TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Burlington Coat Factory, Big Lots(not sure if they have ever carried them). They don't carry them all the time but when they do it's usually around $10. |

Damn. Can't find Doctor Strange's eye of Agamotto. Means it got tossed out with the packaging yesterday -___- Also, question! A friend is looking to make a custom using Silk and Scarlet Witch, but he doesn't have the latter. He wants to know if the Silk forearms fit on SW's body. Can someone who owns the two check? |
