The design had to be approved by WB before it could be released. So they at least have been given permission to make that his official look.

I never knew Shao Kahn was actually Vanderlei Silva.

Man I want to know the quantity of this bust. It must be very low cause I don't think they are many MK fans out there, especially ones that will shell out 300 for an OK bust.

Syco didn't come up with this design. His face was revealed in the Malibu MK comics back in the 90s.

Thanks for the clarification Fuzz. Much appreciated. :D

Also, welcome aboard.

No problem. I don't think many people know there was actually an MK comic book series. It wasn't around very long.

And thanks!

Even more clarification.... Shao Kahn was maskless in the limited edition, self-published MK2 comic available only by ordering via the address given on the screen of MK2 arcades... A year before the crappy, non-canon Malibu Comics series came out...

Anyone else besides me wish the scale was 1:1 so you could put on Shao Kahn's helmet and answer the door the next time Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormon Missionaries come a knockin'? hehehe "Don't make me laugh!"

Ahhh, I didn't realize the MKII comic wasn't published by Malibu. The first image of Shao Kahn I posted above is from the MKII comic.
