Fixing MU Figures

I have two figures who both have a right leg issue, my Green Goblin and Iron first.

They both came with a defect which makes the right leg very flimsy off the torso peg and the slightest bit of articulaion makes it fall off.

Obviously just throwing the leg back on there doesn't do too much and I know that when people make customized toys that they may run into the same problem.

What are some ways to address this issue?

Get a new one & return the defective one?

If it is truly the pure looseness of the figure's ball, you can try taking the small clear rubber bands that are in the package with these guys, maybe trim it shorter, and wrap it tightly around the ball or inside the leg as padding to just give this extra layer to hold the joint in place.

If that doesn't work, you could try to use another form of layer inside the socket to make form a firmer grip, or depending on how drastic you wanna get, and I've never done this, try putting the leg on and just lining the loose edge of the socket with some superglue to sort of create a larger edge to give it that extra hold.

Goo luck!

The problem with a few of the torsos (including Green Goblin, Iron Fist, and Human Torch) is that there's just not enough clearance above the right leg joint to allow much movement. If you move the leg too far up, the torso just pushes it right off the peg. What you can do is just shave some plastic off with an x-acto knife or with a dremel. Sand it down afterwards and nobody will ever know.

If the ball is actually loose another way to tighten it up is Hot Glue.

Take some vaseline and put it on the ball. Then put some glue in the socket of the leg. Then insert the hip ball in the socket and move it about. The vaseline if well coated will keep the ball from siezing and then trim off any glue that came out of the opening and it will help hold the leg tighter.

Wish I could except they were the last of it's kind at those stores...

Does the glue have to be "hot glue" or any glue?

I dont know if this will work but when my indie spotlight scud broke, his ball joint broke off so i completley removed both joints and replaced it with a part from bionicles that was similar to a ball joint. when i put the leg on the joint it was loose so i boiled the leg and squezed the leg tight, and now the leg is even tighter than the original.im not saying rip off the joints but you could boil and squeeze and it might work.i will probably try that on mine that are like that,i usually have a problem with most of the figures that have the black spidey body.

Hot Glue works best as it gives you an added soft ring to hold the peg in place.

Anoter option is SuperGlue. Similar method. It takes a little more patience as you should do it drop by drop (allowing glue to dry) making sure to move the leg around in the process so that it does not sieze up.(Vaseline REAL important if using SuperGlue method).
