Thanoseid by Dravenheart
1 Attachment(s)
Am I the only one who thought Amalgam was pretty awesome? Better yet, am I the only one who thinks it would be awesome if they got back together and did a modern era verson? Maybe on the latter. I did Iron Lantern last week by request and realized I wanted to make quite a few more. So, I looked over the various combinations and stumbled across this guy. I had been wanting to make a Thanos, so this seemed like a different, yet cool way to do it. The combination of Thanos and Darkseid.
Simple enough figure for the most part. Took a Thanos and did a full repaint, cut the skirt down to just the belt, and then got stuck at the head. I couldn't find a Darkseid head that would fit right, so I looked and found Skaar. I cut the hair off and thought it had that right look I wanted. Sculpting, however, is still not my strong point. But, after a couple attempts with multiple sandings to try again, this was the attempt that actually came out the best. Great likeness, looking forward to seeing your others.

It's a no-brainer character combo. Awesome!

Looks great, and I completely agree. I made a next gen Amalgam character too.

Awesome. Yeah, that's a lot of spikes. I'll start trying to pull together some possible parts in a couple days. If it goes well I may try Kid Demon too.
Wanting to find a long haired female head that would sit right with a Gladiator-like cape. So, like the hair comes over the shoulders more instead of resting on the back. Having a hard time finding one, and not that good with sculpt yet. lol Anyone has ideas, feel free to let me know. |
Seems to me you could do a Speed Demon with an AIM upper body (yellow would be easier to paint red than blue or black) and some generic GI Joe legs. Hands could possibly be the movie Sabretooth hands.
|
Yeah, that's pretty much what I was thinking. Adapted Ghost Rider head, AIM body, which also works since he has gloves that suit Speed Demon better and make adding spikes easier, belt from Ghost Rider, And maybe different knees and upper legs, since he doesn't have baggy pants. The rest is just paint, spikes, and sculpt. It sounds so much simpler than it look in my head. lol

Yep Speed Demon is more Vengeance/Etrigan looking in the head than GR,thats the only serious problem i could find with customising him....
|
Horns shouldn't be too hard. Biggest thing I see is fixing those tusks accurately.
I just checked EBay though and of course the AIM soldier is listed for $12 plus shipping for just a loose one. Oy. lol Gotta love army builders. |
