Iron Man 2 line question.
 

I have a question about one of the figures from the Iron Man 2 line.

The Hypervelocity armor.

I know the first one was silver and red and that there was another one that was semi-translucent toward the end of the line...

But was there a red and gold repaint?

I don't remember buying one (and I'm overseas at the moment so I can't go check) and it's driving me crazy to know if I missed a figure or not. I've seen what I think are red and gold versions on ebay, but I don't find any mention of a variant on some of the checklist websites.

Can anyone clear that up for me?

The only hypervelocity armor I've seen is the one with pale red and gold except one that I read a review of and his was a brighter red/gold combo seen Here

yeah definitely a difference in colour between the one in Kinglouie's post and these ones.

these look kinda purple and silver in natural light.

and these are the only ones i've ever seen on the pegs

I think it's just a trick of the light that makes it look gold.

I dunno we'll see, I bought one cheap off ebay.

I think its the lighting. I wouldnt worry about it man.

i'm pretty sure it's just lighting. under florescent lights, it looks like it's purple and silver, so go figure.

Here I was hoping I missed a figure somehow. Eh, no worries, I paid less than 3.00 for it. Now I can customize it so it IS red and gold.

yeah you guys could be right about lighting.

I like Sonic Storm Iron Man. He looks cool.

Putting a skrull head on that armor tonight.. what a fantastic idea.

i though the colour scheme of this ironman is very similar to the 1st edition skrull.let us know how it looks :)

Just an update for anyone who is interested:

I bought said figure and he showed up at home yesterday. I'm overseas at the moment so I didn't get to see it but my wife says that he is red and silver.

She also had this to say about the figure:

"So your Chinese Iron Man (or rather, Iro Man) did indeed arrive today.....it's silver, and literally the shittiest figure I've never seen. Glad you got it cheap."

Oh well. Cheap custom fodder.

By said figure, do you mean Hypervelocity or Sonic Storm?

Hypervelocity. The one on ebay that I thought was gold instead of silver.

I like the red better than the purple, which is what I have...
