Muppet Meets Mouse! New Vinylmation Figures
 

Disney Vinylmation Muppet figures are coming late Winter 2010. These will be exclusive to Disney World and Disneyland. Muppet characters are painted on to a Mickey Mouse body, and have a similar look to Hasbro's Mighty Muggs.

There are 12 figues in the set - Rowlf, Sweetums, Benny Bunny, Rizzo, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, Beaker, Statler, Waldorf, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Swedish Chef, and a chaser figure that will be revealed online once the set is released. I would speculate that this figure is Kermit.

I actually love the Sweetums figure. I would pick him up.

I'm actually kind of shocked that Kermit, Gonzo and Animal are not included in this wave. I guess they are hoping it to be enough of a success that they can continue.

Not sure about the idea of Kermit being the chase. I could be wrong, but I think it would be someone not as obvious but who fans will still want to collect.

That's a valid point. You don't want to do all the "big stars" right away either, and have interest in the line fizzle out (if they plan another wave that is). However, I still want to see Kermit. :)

After furthur research, it seems Kermit was already released in 2008, and Rizzo saw a release where he was dressed as Mickey Mouse in 2009.

Muppets Vinylmation release date! They will first be available at Walt Disney World resort on February 8th. Since Disney World is a big place, here's a list of locations:
