Toys r Us Exclusive X-Factor Set at SDCC

Not too unexpected after it hit overseas, but now it's been announced:

Toys r Us Exclusive X-Factor Set

conan050 06-28-2012 09:04 AM

WTF, first it says it's gunna be $50, not the $35 like we heard and second it says its not coming out till August!?!?!?

jaybird7072 06-28-2012 09:12 AM

shoot this sdcc this year is going to cost me so much haha

usagent27 06-28-2012 09:16 AM

i think i will pass on this. i don't see it being a big seller and most likely will be clearanced like that last X-men set

could be bro but you never know, my toysrus sucks for carrying anything exclusive that they get...

Peteparker 06-28-2012 09:56 AM

Toys R Us doesn't even have a booth!

Will it be at Entertainment Earth's booth, like another site suggested?

ChuckSass 06-28-2012 09:59 AM

i'll be able to find that jean online

I second that!
And sheesh 10 a figure basically.

KingLouie731 06-28-2012 12:02 PM

maybe they are just captalizing on the just got to have it now folks and it will be the more reasonable 35 for those of us with a little more patience :)

I'm reading this as it will be $50 at the Con. It could still be $35 like the X-Men set was when it hit stores.

Peteparker 06-28-2012 01:20 PM

None of us really have patience, but some of us have restraint, and some of us don't have a credit card. ;)

Robogeek28 06-28-2012 01:42 PM

That set still needs a Beast, shame on you Hasbro.

MeLikeJinx 06-28-2012 03:01 PM

This seriously looks like repack bait... at least this 6 pack doesn't come with a lid this time. I think I still prefer blue Angel though.

with Beast I think it would move better even at $50

Starscream99 06-28-2012 06:25 PM

I think I'll pass. I didn't want to spend more than $40 on that set.

astrakhan 06-28-2012 10:12 PM

My theory on why Beast wasn't included is that, at the start of X-Factor, he had lost his blue fur and was back to being a dude with big hands and feet. While a full X-Factor team might pull in more collectors, it just wasn't that interesting a design, and this is also another way to get Mr. Sinister, who is exclusive to a two-pack, plus the short-packed Apocalypse.

DogFashionDisco 06-28-2012 10:17 PM

Hahaha, thats hilarious.

Must disagree my friend. The reason Beast isn't in the pack is because they haven't produced either of the body types (old school fuzzy or non-fuzzy) yet. If they did he'd most def be in there and we'd all be ready to hand over the $50.

Beast did have blue fur at the launch of X-Factor. Your area must not have gotten the revision cases becuase Apoc is warming here and that Sinister was just not a good idea.

I'll be waiting for TRU to put them on sale.

Apocalypse wasn't really short packed. He was in a rev case here a month or so ago, at one point we had about 15 of them on the pegs...

trebleshot 06-29-2012 10:54 AM

I still have about 10 each at a couple different stores around me. And the most ironic part is I bought him during his initial run thinking he'd be just as hard to find as Thanos was. Go figure.

No, really. Go. No one wants any more En Sabah Nurs. We're all full up.

In all seriousness, I'm definitely passing on this set. I'll take my chances with Blue Angel, and I'm not interested in the others anyway.

Optimus Vader 06-29-2012 11:11 AM

They should just hold onto this set and release it next Feb while we're in a dry spell. I'd be more likely to waste my money on this when there's nothing else to buy as opposed to this coming out the same month as everything new this year.

zim 06-29-2012 12:58 PM

yeah, i agree this set stinks and at $50 it wreaks. But let me guess all of you will be first at the door with your noses pressed against the glass doors at TRU. :-)

bmorr 06-29-2012 02:05 PM

not me lol. Im not touching this. my money is going towards the masters of evil pack.
