The Walking Dead Game by Telltale
 

I've played the first two episodes and I've loved them. Has anyone else played them? I think games like this are an acquired taste

I bought the Season pass on PS3 for it. Loved it so far. It really fits into the style of the comics, and I was happy that it wasn't simply a shooter. Reminds a lot of Heavy Rain in the way that it plays. The story and voice acting are really fantastic so far.

I agree with both of you! I'm really loving this series so far and my wife is too! She never plays video games.

It's only for people who play games on Xbox Live or the PS3 counterpart, right? If not, I want to check it out.

Steam has it

I'm waiting for all the episodes to come out, and then crossing my fingrers that the sales justify a physical disc release. I'm not a fan of downloading content, and I really want to play this.

If they don't come out with it on disc, it's well worth the download.

I downloaded the demo and I liked it. The controls were weird though. Is it just me?

It's not your typical game by today's controls. It's like the adventure games of old. You can move your character but its a lot of talking with other characters and button prompts for attacking.

Yea, the controls aren't hard or anything just feel akward at first. I bought the season pass today and just finished episode 1. Lots of wtf moments. Hershel's reaction after the farm incident, the old man right before leaving the drug store, and Glen giving me shit at the end about how I dealt with the girl at the motel all had me forgetting it was a game. I was literally cursing those dudes out lol.

I played episode 3 the other day, and that was a very solid episode

My buddy got me the special edition that comes with the compendium as an X-Mas gift. So far, it's a pretty decent game. Very old school though.

I really need to play these games. I have the first two episodes that were free on PlayStation Plus.

I haven't sat down to replay them, so don't rush into it. The replay value just isn't there, so wait and pick it up cheap. Mine came with the Omnibus, so the incentive was there, otherwise I would've waited.
