New Iron Man 2 Mark V Armor Prototype

looks like these may be from the 6inch line glad they didn't phase them out completely for the 3.5 line...hope we get more images

Ravenxl7 01-18-2010 04:52 PM

Looks nice, though I'm not fully sure what size class it is. It's probably the 6" version. Personally I'm going to wait for the 3-3/4" version they'll inevitably make of the Mark VI armor and War Machine's movie armor.

Why are you guys assuming these are 6"? They're most likely 3.75-4", since the IM2 line is that size.

True, the main/majority of the line is going to be at the 3-3/4" scale, but we do know they'll also be producing some 6" figures as well. This one, imo at the very least, looks more like the couple 6" figures that we've seen pictures of.

Enigma2K2 01-19-2010 01:19 AM

Why... WHY?!?!?

Why are they still doing that "open hand, closed fist" crap?!?!? TWO OPEN HANDS!!! Repulsor blasts!!!

If they are, you can have mine.

yes the core of the movie line is the 3.5 scale but they are still making some 6inch scale new figures and reissues from the concept series which is a good thing cause figures like the heavy artillery and stealth operations figures were impossible to get with exceptions of ebay where they were a arm and a leg.

I'm interested in both sizes but I'm definitely excited about the 3.5 scale due to the fact that you can collect more and display more of them.

nomad1632 01-19-2010 11:14 AM

and the hand issue think about it iron man doesn't have hand held weapons or accessories so their posed I think their good and at least their not is awkward positions and just a open hand and fist...I think it would be cool if they came with alternate hands to swap out like revoltech figures.

Where did they say that the concept figures were going to be reissued?

I don't know if their doing full reissues but in pics from the past comic con I saw shots of different color heavy artillery and subterranean armors I saw two subterranean in the colors of one blue and black, and one green and gray and a heavy artillery in the classic red and gold, mind that I can only see part of the heavy artillery figure but its obvious that its that mold and in the pics are other 6 inch figures like deep dive, and a stealth repaint in red and gold.. and even some new villain armors...here are the pics that I have from the comic con coverage

Would love to be wrong, but those pics are a year old at this point; if those figs and the others we saw (like the Punisher deco) were coming out, it seems like it would have happened by now.

Extremely disappointing to me, as I greatly prefer the 6" size, and those are terrific molds. Hopefully we will still see them in some form this time around.

that is true their a year old but they were released in the same display as the 3.5 inch figures...so here's hope that they will still be coming out...the sculpts were so good and I want more of the heavy armors lol...just gotta hope for the best but needless to say I'm gettn the 3.5s cause those are sick I still want the 6inch ones though.

Hasbro has already released a nice lineup for IM2 toys but can we expect to see more about halfway through the summer or even after SDCC? I think XMO:W followed this pattern, right?
