D Arts Mega Man/Rockman Appreciation Thread
This isn't a news thread, so I posted it in this forum. This is for general D-Arts Rockman/Mega Man discussion. News threads will be made and/or moved to the news and rumors forum.
To kick things off, I just got my Vile figure today. I remember playing Mega Man X quite a bit back in the day but I never remembered beating it. Those games are hard. However I do remember seeing Vile. As every hero needs a villain to fight, I picked up Vile. Vile's ammo belt is even articulated! Pretty crazy, was not expecting that, I thought it would just be a PVC strip. Articulation is great, I dig the hip articulation over Zero Type 2's, except for the thigh swivels being loose. The only other figure I have is Zero Type 2 which has an excellent sculpt. I just wish the hair had more support and that the hip joints had a more straightforward way about moving them. I need an X but luckily Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA is said to be bringing more over in the future(according to posts I read at our sister site TFW2005). Will probably get Full Armor X eventually. My main pet peeve with D-Arts Mega Man/Rockman figures is that some joints are tight enough to feel "rickity" when moving. Joints like Vile's head/neck, Zero's hips, et al. Other than that these are the best Rockman/Mega Man figures ever made. I remember back in the day when Bandai Japan made Rockman X figures and had armor on sprues. They were great for their time but the bodies had polycap construction for the limbs. The polycaps on some of my figures cracked..which sucked! These D-Arts Rockman/Mega Man figures, which also have some limbs that can be swapped, are like the spiritual successor to Bandai Japan's old Rockman lines. |
I have every D arts Megaman figure except the manga version X and I have to say that these figures are my favorite in my entire collection. I'm getting my Vile tomorrow which is awesome. I just hope they make a lot more because if so I'll gladly keep buying them.

I would buy the classics as well. I'm probably in the minority on this but I really want some Battle Network figures. The designs would translate into some seriously awesome figures. BN series were some of my favorite games of all time

I have D-Arts X, Zero 2nd version, and Vile. I want X's Falcon Armor from X5, some Ride Armors if Bandai ever decides to make them, and maybe a X Armor Pack.

Won't get Megaman X unarmored till Friday or Saturday, but here's what I've gotten so far. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8294/7...02b6d049_o.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7106/7...77b5f7b9_o.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8425/7...8f83c69c_o.jpg http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8429/7...78d1efaf_o.jpg |
Anyone who has chromed SDCC X, does the chrome chip/flake easily?

I'm just about to take the dive and start collecting these things, about to order Zero v2 and Vile.
This is probably a longshot, but does anyone either have a standard X for sale or know where to get one for a decent price? Ebay prices are insane, and the release date for the reissue hasn't yet been announced. It just seems wrong to start a Megaman X shelf without X! |

Oh trust me, I've been eyeing the metallic version for a couple of weeks now... but when it comes down to it, I'm too obsessive about each figure matching with the others on the same shelf that I just couldn't pull the trigger. Plus I've been reading about people who had various issues with it, such as a weird green discoloration that sometimes happens to the chrome parts, and minor chipping here and there.
I ordered Zero and Vile, but I guess I'll wait for the X reissue. It's going to take me a while to design/build the Megaman X diorama I'd like to do for the shelf anyway, so maybe by the time I finish with that there will be a firm release date. |

I highly recommend getting Full armor X (how can I recommend something I dont own?!). He's got that great blast accessories! When I get the spare cash I'll definitely pick one up. |
Read that some Full Armor X's have broken shoulders. Any of you have breakages?

I seriously love these figures.
What's the difference in the zero mk1 and mk2? There's a lot on ebay of both zeros and mega man x for 110. Seems like a really good deal. I plan on owning mega man (might like the armored x and the shiny blue), zero, and vile. I'd seriously love them to make a bass. Maybe this could be a D-arts/figarts/SH arts catch all thread? I'd love to see everyones DBZ figures on here too. Is it just me or are these the best made figures around? |

Tokunation has a thread like that. I wouldn't mind double posting all my pics. :D |
These definitely look cool, but crikey... $40-$50 is hard to get behind for figures this size, although the amount of accessories certainly helps. Luckily I don't have much interest in getting anyone other than X, Zero and Vile, so future releases aren't on my radar.
Except for that ride armor. Man, that's probably gonna kill my wallet... but it looks. So. Sweet. That'll be my final purchase from this line if/when it releases. Or so I keep telling myself... |

My brothers armored megamans arm snapped off at the bicep. He bought another one but my Zero version 2 has a loose right arm and that seems to be a common issue with him. Still despite those issues they are an awesome line of figures and well worth the money, to me anyway.

So I got my V2 Zero and Vile today and... damn Zero is hard to pose! Between his left arm popping off anytime I move it, the joints not wanting to cooperate (and the joint covers not wanting to stay in place!), as well as his gigantic ponytail feeling like it wants to snap off when I try to change the faces... well, yikes. Dude feels fragile as hell. Even so, now that I got him into the pose I wanted I am quite pleased with the figure. Looks awesome with his Z-saber.
Vile, on the other hand, is nothing but pure greatness. Easy to pose, well-constructed. Very well done. His leg cannon is freakin' awesome. The only thing that I can really complain about is that I wish he included a second blast effect instead of the drink I'll never use, but that's minor. Bring on that ride armor! |
