TDKR Movie Masters Bane
 

Ok so i have minimal experience customizing, so i need a lil help. Im thinking about picking up the dark knight rises 2 pack and i wanna take the arms from the bane and put them on the single release movie masters bane. Can anyone give me any advice or easy strategy to do this? Thanks guys :)

I've actually considered the same thing since I'm getting an extra MM Bane. I don't have the two pack yet, but I would need two of those, one to keep Bane the way he is, and another to use for that custom. I wish I could find that two pack. I needz it haha.

There's no "easy" way but it's not terribly difficult. You need to "crack" the body, which will separate the halves so you can free the arms.

What you'll need:

1. Pot of water
2. 3 inch vise
3. paper towels or old rag
4. PATIENCE

• Heat up a pot of near boiling water
• Submerge your figure for 45 seconds
• Remove the figure and pull off any easily removable parts (typically the head, arms at the biceps, legs at the thigh swivel, vests/jackets)
• Submerge the torso again, for several minutes (the idea here is to soften/loosen the glue used to assemble the torso)
• Place the rag/paper towels in the vise and then set the torso in (rag keeps the vise's jaw from marking/indenting the torso)
• SLOWLY apply pressure, you may have to repeat the last few steps a few times)
• Patience is the key, there is no rush (you may actually hear an audible "crack" when the glue finally gives way)
• If you take your time, you will free the halves perfectly, keeping even the small alignment pegs intact

Now, if I was doing this I wouldn't bother with the two pack Bane, I'd buy a cheap wrestling figure with appropriate arms. This is for two reaasons:

• Saves money
• Gives you a cheap figure to practice your cracking technique!

I agree with this. lol i did buy a cheap 2 pack on ebay cause I wanted the batman cause I liked the color scheme and the cloth cape for my batpod batman :-)

do you suggest a wrestling figure to use that would have the gauntlet thing?
