I started with Helix figure, but decided for a little bit different outlook.

Nice! I dig it a lot...but a suggestion would be to drybrush- very lightly- some white onto get cheeks, forehead and chin to give her skin some tones.

As for drybrushing, I know what you mean, however I must admit I am a little afraid to touch her face again, but I will return to it once I get more experienced and comfortable with this technique. :)

face color - 1:1 mixture White + Medium Sea Grey (Vallejo Model Color acrylics)
