man I'm really hoping that this and MOTUC go through....but the closer we get to the 6th the more doubtful I get. I wish it was an all or nothing kind of deal...either the sub gets 100% or no sub at all. its disappointing that so many fans have dropped out. at this point anyone who was going to sub has already subbed up.....the people who changed their minds already have, and people who were convinced to sub already did. I try to stay open minded and positive in every aspect of my life.....but when it comes down to having faith in my fellow DCUCI and MOTUC collectors...its all doom and gloom.

bog 08-01-2012 07:54 AM

I just cant justify to myself paying nearly $30 for these figures after shipping. I really wanted that Jay Garrick, but I went through to check out and saw the price after taxes and shipping and just couldn't do it.

ludovicotek 08-01-2012 08:21 AM

Does anybody remember the percentage they reached last year for the DC sub? I remember it being significantly lower than the minimum required and they still proceeded. And look, they still sell out of every figure. I can't imagine them not going through with the MOTUC sub. DC, maybe not, it's pretty damn low right now.

Enigma2K2 08-01-2012 08:28 AM

A cut and paste should do here...

So making the subscriptions more affordable will basically NEVER be an option. And we'll STILL be doing business with Digital River...

... I'm SOLD! Sign me up![/sarcasm]

jmo 08-01-2012 09:34 AM

Ok, so you mean to tell me that if matty doesnt meet their quota then we will NEVER see these figures reach the public in any way??? Kinda hard to believe. They know there is $ to be made. So I find it hard to believe that these prototypes will just sit on someone's shelf or in a box in an attic waiting to be discovered by some dork Dealer making a show ....your thoughts?

That's why I'm a self proclaimed, professional action figure "tweeker"

Bubba304 08-01-2012 12:32 PM

I feel ya there with the high prices...it sucks...but what I'm doing is cutting off all other action figure lines. DONE...sticking strictly to the subs. saving gas money driving all over the place day after day hunting down stuff I need/and cutting out the stuff I don't need but buy anyway. So I'm saving money there, and I started collecting MOTUC and DCUC lateeee....the Majority of my collection I'm got off ebay (prices were jacked up there anyway....at least here I'm getting a brand new figure MIB). S/H should cost less, and Matty should do something with all the old UPCs from DCUC and MOTUC...like mail in X amount of UPC's and save Y amount of dollars on your subscription would be a good incentive...no?

Falconhood 08-03-2012 04:34 PM

ANOTHER Flash?!?!? Why? I expect to see figures NEVER made in the 20 waves of DCUC, not REHASH characters we already have.

Bubba304 08-03-2012 04:41 PM

I agree with ya Falconhood....I could careless about a "wally west" flash. what a waste. oh well looks like nobody will be getting that one or any of them anyway

CMIII 08-05-2012 04:48 AM

well when will I get my refund?

CMIII 08-06-2012 07:49 AM

Massive subscripton came in over night looks like it might be very close to Minimum number to commence with 2013

Tiberius 08-06-2012 08:08 AM

HUGE JUMP! Wow lol.

That's because the DCU sub was unplanned and thrown out of the blue at the last minute at SDCC. Here, it was planned and they clearly said it would not go through if it did not meet the minimum requirement.

It really sucks, because not only did I want Phantom Stranger, Mollah and Brain, and Saint Walker, but Larfleeze gets screwed over AGAIN!!! They should have just kept him and got rid of either Red Robin or Supeboy Prime for the All-Stars wave.

Anyway, on the positive side, it means I am only dealing with one sub from Digital River, because I am not getting a Watchmen sub. I may regret it when the figures do come out, but I'll just take my chances with the secondary market over dealing with DR beyond the MOTUC sub.

Bubba304 08-06-2012 10:22 AM

how much more do we have to go? percent?

Korben 08-06-2012 11:38 AM

This is just a reminder. At 11:59 PM Pacific Time, the sale for Mattel's 2013 Subscriptions ends. This is a good time to remind your friends about how terrible Digital River is and to save them trouble and headaches (and money); tell them not to subscribe.

Bubba304 08-06-2012 11:42 AM

someone sounds salty hahaha Korben you know you want to subscribe....just give in and do it...if you haven't already.
I herd a rumor that Digital River is throwing in a case of Advil with all Subscriptions this year....so worry not they got you covered.

You're in for a rough ride. (Your so wrong, just wait and see) LOL.

Bubba304 08-06-2012 11:46 AM

I've subbed before...only had one hiccup and they fixed it right away

I changed my address before the sub started shipping, they sent me a confirmation email for my change of address, so I thought no biggie...all is good. Then when the first figure was to be mailed out the email saying its on its way notified me it was going to Virginia and not my new address in New Jersey. I contacted them right away...they fixed it right away.

hrothgars 08-06-2012 01:41 PM

Yeah, I have never had any problems with Digital River.

Dr Kain 08-06-2012 07:16 PM

Haha, you are so lucky. I have had nothing but problems with DR during June and July.
