The "I Haven't Heard of that Hero" Thread
It's 2 in the morning, and I got the fantastic idea of starting a thread like this. I was going on and one of my weekly avatar changes (it's an illness, I swear) and I stumbled upon a picture of Viking Commando. And I must say, he's quite badass. I thought to myself "I haven't heard of this guy before! I must share this finding with the world!" Hence the idea of this thread. I think it's a nice way to share knowledge of heroes that no one has ever heard of to improve other peoples superhero knowledge, so I'll start it off:
Valoric, aka Viking Commando: http://i1196.photobucket.com/albums/...commando02.jpg Height: 6'5" Weight: 240 lbs (109 kg) Eyes: Blue Hair: Blond Alignment: Good Citizenship: Scandinavian First Appearance: All-Out War #1 M3T4L V1KING's Quick Bio: So he's a badass Viking in the 5th century, he fell during battle and a valkyrie came to take him away to the awesome place of Valhalla. Turns out Valoric wasn't dead though and the Valkyrie dropped him through a time warp to 1944... BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Anyways, his wounds healed up over a few weeks or something and killed a bunch of Nazi's because he thought they were Huns... Also funny. The Valkyrie stayed around because Odin ordered her to, so she just waits for him to die. Creepy. And after Valoric's little Nazi massacre, some Yankee major recruited him to the US army and was made into an Icon. He got on Life Magazine and shit apparently. That's pretty badass. Of course any other posts don't have to be as detailed as this. It's only like this because it's 2 in the morning and I'm bored as hell. |
Hows about this guy
Saint Elmo who was a member of the 'orginal' Alpha Flight and no you aren't the only one confused if you read that and go huh? or how about Woden son of Thor in the 30th century? he hung around the Guardians of the Galaxy abit Thanks MV i enjoy obsure/random threads of this nature |

Fifth Cousin to Dr. Doom who is a Dentist
Robert Doom is a Latverian-American, distantly related to Victor von Doom. While a rather successful dentist, Robert felt envious of his cousin's wealth and power. In an attempt to Keep up with Joneses, Doom formed his own super-villain plans. He studied mechanics, robotics and weaponry technology. Then he created his masterpieces,neuro-transcivers. Miniature devices which would allow him to take over the neural system of fellow humans. He started implanting these devices to the fillings of his wealthiest clients. Spread around New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. In time he would control them and through them their fortunes. Carving his own kingdom and showing up Victor. He had not counted on a client accidentaly damaging his transciver and turning it to a miniature radio receiver. The client filed a legal suit. The lawyer assigned to the case was Jennifer Walters. Who soon discovered the case went further than malpractice. He had little chance in combat against her. She even bit through his adamantium-laced drill. http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/...-doombobd1.jpg http://i1179.photobucket.com/albums/...earth_616_.jpg |

If Nathan got cast, I'd see that movie on opening night.

Me and my Bro were talking, and we think Gordon Ramsey should be Constantine in the next movie.

It took me a while to find his name, but I always liked a Batman comics character called Tommy Carma.
His is a dark story, first appearing in Batman Vol. 1 #402-#403 (Dec. 1986-Jan. 1987). His back-story is a lot like The Punisher's, but Tommy was a cop in Gotham and always idolized Batman, so when he "snaps," he escapes from Arkham, dons the cowl and opens a can of whoop-ass on Gotham City while he delusionally believes he is fighting crime as Batman. http://www.toyark.com/attachment.php...7&d=1347247124 Tommy had issues, but showed that just about anybody could moonlight as a super hero, while also speaking to the real Batman's limits/honor code. I probably also like him b/c this was my first comic book. :) |
