Lost - Who's watching?
 

So who watched the 2 hour premiere last night? I thought it was the best episode of Lost, arguably, to date. So much happened and it wouldn't be a lost episode if it didn't bring up more questions. Have a theory? Post em up!

It seems to me now, that instead of flashing to the past or the future, that they are flashing to an alternate reality where the plane did not crash. At first I thought they all existed in the same altertnate timeline after the bomb went off (like old Janeway in Voyager), but then they would have to be underwater, so they must be in separate realities...or what if the bomb did go off and they are all dead? Knowing Lost however, the answer is probably far more complex...or maybe even simpler. Lol. And just how the two timelines/realities are going to come together, I have no idea. I'm thinking Locke and Juliet (and anyone else who has died perhaps) might be key to that part of the mystery.

i saw it too and im suprised how much i like it,because i thought last season was kinda slow.there are a lot of questions that need answers,and sayid said it best "What Happened"

Some people are believing that Sayid is now the reincarnation of Jacob. I don't know if I believe that really. I think that the, what appeared to be some kind of fountain of youth, revived him and saved him like it did Ben when he was shot by Sayid. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

I heard the Jacob theory too. It never occured to me, but seemed predictable once I heard it. Haha. So, I hope that isn't the case. However if Jacob and black shirt/Locke/smoke monster can't kill eachother, this could be a "loop hole" now for Jacob to get the upper hand.

I have no idea what's going to happen next. At some point, the two "realities" are going to have to come together. Some event is going to have to happen the same way on both sides. Some sort of cosmic significance that we can't even comprehend! ...I have no idea...thoughts anyone?

I don't know either, and I've tried to really wrap my brain around it. I'm very interested to see how it all plays out, and for now I'm just enjoying the ride. I just hope there aren't any hiatus at all. I heard there may be a week.

Lol. I know a few people that watched Lost in the beginning, but stopped after missing an episode here and there because you have to see them all to know what's going on. I guess that's why ABC reruns them the following week before the new one now.

I have friends that have never watched and express no interest. I keep insisting if they at least watch the first couple of eps of season one, they'd get hooked, as I was.

A magic mirror now? I know mirrors are said to have supernatural properties, but I had to ask myself, "Is this getting too ridiculous?" But no. Somehow in Lost, it seems perfectly believeable. And not necessarily a mirror, but a "looking glass." "Through the Looking Glass" was an episode in season three if I recall, and I'm betting there are lots of looking glass references that I have missed and/or forgotten (wondering if anyone was shown reading Alice Through the Looking Glass at some point...?). The Lighthouse stopped on Jack, and what if it was pointing "through the looking glass" to Alternate-Flash Jack?

wasn't that the book in Jacks Kids room in the sideways flash?

What I'm curious about is what were the other images that he saw? One looked to be from Asia maybe? I can't remember, but it was on someone's name I'm sure. Doogen perhaps?

Another great episode though. Always leaving me wanting more and it's the only show I never look at the clock on. 10pm comes so fast, I hardly notice.

If it was, that would be really cool. I didn't catch it though. Have to watch it next week with the pop up facts!

If you watched last week's episode last night, with the pop ups, at the very end it said Sawyer becomes Locke's first recruit. But didn't he already recruit Claire before hand?

Good point. I wonder who writes the pop-ups. Maybe we viewers missed something that is still to be revealed, or they are just (gasp) wrong!

And we know she used to be a candidate but her name was written down but crossed out. Man, this show is crazy!

Some interesting Lost discussion on Innerspace on Space Channel in Canada tonight. I like this one: Claire sees Locke as Christian, but to everyone else he looks like Locke. Hmmm....

Well that's not right because she said that she's not alone that her father talks to her, as does her friend. Then Smocke walked into her tent and Claire said, that's not John, that's my friend. So by that it seems to me that she sees Christian and Smokey differently.

Yea Ive been watcing Lost and enjoying it, Im really trying not to think out whats happening next because usuallly they go completely off the rails that its kinda enjoyable. Its like towards the end of G Gundam and Wong Yun Fat is shouting "C'mon it's one ridiculous thing after another!" Thats basically how this is going and im enjoying it. Its fascinating.

Smocke lol. That's the perfect name for him. You could even still pronounce it as "smoke." Tell people it's french. lol.
I enjoy trying to figure out what's going to happen. I called a lot of stuff during season 2 and 3, but lately I have no idea what's going to happen.

Didn't Lost promise answers tonight? I guess they promise that every week.

Really, you guys would do yourselves a service to just change the channel right after "LOST" pops up at the end and ignore the trailers. Commercials are just meant to hype things.

Great episode tonight, by the way. One of my favorite last 10 minutes in the show's history.
