Here's a link to my full collection gallery on Flickr. Room pictures updated as of 2/22/2014.

I'd embed more photos here but it looks like I'm pushing the free ability of Photobucket already. lol

Thanks man!

Right now I'm focused solely on specific vintage items. Not much room to display anymore and I want to fill the remaining space with that. I don't have the list posted in the Wanted section though. Some are pricey and buying is not always in my budget. Wouldn't want to annoy possible sellers.

However, the APU and Sentinel are on my short list of items I would part with. If you'd like to buy, send me a message.

Yeah at the time it was pretty cheap and was planning on just the comic, but when I saw that 8x10 I had to have that too.

On the comic she said something like, "Oh great, the picture of me with man hands." She thought it was cool but wish the artist drew them differently. :)

Replying to bump this as I think editing would not do that. I added a couple of more pieces to the Flickr page

Thanks!

I really need to take updated pics of my room. I replaced that monitor in my arcade/pinball rig w/ a 39" TV. :D

Yep, the figure came out in the UK. As well as a diecast model of the Autocar, which is IMPOSSIBLE to find. It's been years and I've seen none pop up on eBay in the US. I don't troll the UK version though. There was various Automan merch as well back then.

Thanks! It's a little different now w/ some rearranged collectibles, but the biggest change is upgrading my Arcade monitor to a 39" TV :)

Nice collection I have a few questions....

Where did you get the acrylic cases for the cereal boxes? Did you buy in bulk? How much were they?

Also where did you get the small individual action figure cases--Star wars--Super Powers ect.. ? Do they have pegs in the bottom to stand or are you using some sort of sticky in there? Looks to be 2 kinds that you have, circular and square? How much were they and did you buy bulk?

It's been a long time, but I believe I got all of my cereal box display cases off of eBay for roughly $12-15 a piece, which seems to be what they are going for today. Do a search for "Acrylic Cereal Display" and you'll get a bunch of hits. The brand I got was BallQube. I'm pretty sure they are all BallQube even though not all auctions specify the name.

Also, the retail store "The Container Store" has them for $18 each.

Also, these things go together oddly. They split vertically into two pieces and "kinda" slide together. Not the best design ever but they stay together and with a few pieces of perfectly cut Scotch tape at the top & bottom seam, it's all good and protected from dust (or grease for crappy kitchens like mine)

As for the Star Wars & Super Powers cases...the acrylic round cases and soft rectangular cases you see I got, for the most part, from a company that no longer exists. They weren't the manufacturer though, just a retailer. For the remaining ones I needed I looked no further than The Earth. The site might look a bit old but I've been buying from them for years. Probably the oldest collectible supply website still around:

Storage Cases For <br> Loose Action Figures

That link goes directly to their loose figure case offerings.

Neither case type has pegs and I don't use any museum type sticky on anything. Not a fan of the stuff as it would likely degrade over time and the last thing I want is to come home to a vintage toy that's taken a nose dive off a shelf and broke because that stuff lost it's stickyness.

For the soft shells, everything is pretty snug. They are mainly designed for vintage figures and you rarely have a problem getting them looking forward. I used those for my Super Powers because space in those IKEA Detolf cases was at a premium and as you can see in the photos, the round cases have extra unused space width-wise.

The cases have hang tabs on top to pin them to walls (see my G.I. Joe wall display) but in that case I needed them vertical. Unfortunately those soft cases are not designed for that. They will stand, but they will lean forward and look horrible, plus are easily knocked over.

What I did to fix that was buy some Legos on eBay and design my own "holder" base for each figure. The bases are no wider than the soft cases so I don't lose display room, but they fit snuggly in there in an upright fashion. Once I knew the exact kind of Legos I needed for each base, I just bought the specific pieces in bulk on eBay. There are a bunch of Lego eBay vendors that sell individual, specific bricks.

I used the round cases for my Star Wars because I thankfully had the room to utilize the better case. They are hard acryilc and stackable. If I could, I'd put every figure in those things. Now you could be careful and get figures to stand upright in there and hope to not knock them over, but I just bought figure stands (also on The Earth) for everything.

One thing to note. Get the CLEAR ProTech stands, NOT the Black. Maybe it's just me and the climate shifts I go through in NYC, but over time I've had multiple pegs snap off inside figure's feet from the black stands. I don't seem to have that problem (so far anyway) with the clear.

I hope all of this helps. :)

Thats great thanks so much for the info. I actually forgot my most important question. Where did you get the acrylic steps risers?? I have been looking for a cheap affordable place to get them in bulk for years and they are always around $50+++ for the larger steps.

For risers I usually go eBay. Specifically I've dealt with this store a ton:
ACRYLIC SHEET STOCK, POPULAR SETS items in Laser Creations store on eBay!

Also CollectingWarehouse.com has a lot of options and their prices didn't seem to crazy.

Over the years I've tended towards multiple heights of individual risers. Not as clean as a step riser, but I like the increased customizability of them. That method gives me a few more options in maximizing whatever space I've got and getting the height differences I need depending on what I'm displaying.

The negatives are the multiple pieces you have to setup and adjust evenly and the gaps between risers. But I don't mind the extra little effort and the gaps aren't that big a deal since most items will straddle them or can rest on top easily.

The only big negative that I learned the hard way, is to not go too wide with one riser. It's tempting to get the 12" long riser rather than three 4" risers, but thinner acrylic will cause the midsection of a really wide piece to bow under the weight of some of the larger figures. Something to keep in mind if you go that route.
