The Hobbit action figures found today.
 

As I was wandering my local TRU, I noticed a full peg of figures for the upcoming Hobbit movie. They are 3 3/4 scale and until I saw them I hadn't heard anything about them. I ended up picking up Gandalf the Grey, Legolas Greenleaf (didn't realize he was in the Hobbit), Thorin Oakenshield, some Goblin Overseer and Bilbo himself. I don't know if there will be anymore to this line or if they were put out early but they're out there now. Happy hunting! I'll post pics if I can figure out how.

Legolas is present in the court of the Woodland elves court but I think his role is greatly expanded in the movies- just as many of the characterizations from the LOTR movies was written in and not present in the novels.

I plan on getting a couple of these- the LOTR figs were disapointing in their oddball too-small scale and I'd love to get two Legolas figs- one to have standard and one to paint up as an elven Hawkeye in purple and blue.

Gotta get two Gandalf figs too- one to paint in black robes and Sith eyes....with a red lightsaber, naturally!

I found these about two weeks go at TRu. They were 11.49 each

Yeah I bought two but returned them a day later after realizing that they really aren't worth that much to me. I'm hoping they end up on clearance like the MIB figures. They are similar quality

Seen these for preorder on BBTS a while ago, but wanted to see them in person before I got any. $12 is kinda steep though for a 3 3/4" figure, I might grab a few core characters and wait for.the rest to be clearanced out.
