Hasbro at NYCC 2012

According to a source over at MUReview who emailed a Hasbro rep, Hasbro will not have a floor display. They will only have panels for Transformers and My Little Pony.

Hasbro to skip NYCC 2012

Jlogano20 10-01-2012 07:43 PM

NoodleChow 10-01-2012 08:01 PM

dang, i love seeing pics of those floor displays. went last year and it was great seeing the new wave display and that awesome MU dio they had up close.

FaustX 10-01-2012 08:26 PM

Lame!

NikIsTheMan 10-01-2012 08:42 PM

Wasn't it reported after SDCC 2012 that the lack of MU 3.75 inch reveals was supposedly going to be rectified at NYCC? How did we go from that information to literally nothing at all? Not good.

Hmm still waiting on the exclusives if they're going to have any...if not I actually won't be too sad:P Saves my wallet:P

I'm still questioning the reliability of the source. For me, some of this is still up in the air. We shall seeee I suppose

I hope MUReview are wrong. However, last year Compound Hulk was announced as soon as Sep 15, one month in advance. This year Hasbro is silent.

So far, that is correct.

warmachine6 10-02-2012 09:34 AM

i hope they do we still got the rest of the week for them to phone in and say we would like a spot hopefully. If Hasbro has nothing to show especially for ML or MU then i will be disappointed they have so much they can do.

EDIT: found this as well http://www.marvelousnews.com/index.p...3&itemid=15381 is NYCC the last comic con for the year ? shame if it is would like to see more figures

Snowflakian 10-02-2012 01:09 PM

Makes sense really. With Toy Fair right around the corner for 2013 in February, skipping NYCC when this has been a very avengers heavy year sounds about right. Let's them start prepping for their next big thing and catch up on releases for a bit. Even with the accelerated releases, there's a pretty big backlog of comic packs, 3 packs, and singles cards starting to form.

Plus they've got to figure out how to wow retailers at toyfair and keep them ordering too so we can keep getting the figures. Now here's hoping they don't skip next year. We could use a break within the fandom though. Not on releases, but on exposure of what's to come.

The hype is building too much, and a reset button on that to come back strong next major fan showing would really help quiet much of those fears and fan rages.
