New TMNT Figures Found

Just stopped at a Target in Delaware, and a Toys R Us in Pennsylvania on my way to New York Comic Con. Found the three new figures; Metal Head, Fishface and Dogpound. Will post some pics once I reach my destination.

Crazy Jetty 10-12-2012 02:02 PM

Yay! I'm dyin' for me a Metalhead!
As long as it took for the first wave to reach my area, I can expect these just after christmas.

Robogeek28 10-12-2012 03:03 PM

Yeah I picked myself up a Metalhead yesterday at my TRU and went back today for Dogpound and Fishface. I'm really not a fan of the lack of articulation but I figured I'd regret it if I passed on them when I knew they were in my area.

Kamurder 10-12-2012 04:08 PM

I NEED Metalhead but sadly my area is always one of the last to get the newer figures. Ugh.

Here are the pics of my findings today. What's interesting to note about Metalhead is that he has an error on the back of the card. It lists all the figures on back, but when showing the photos of them, Raphael is posted twice. Once as Raphael, and again as Michelangelo. Fishface and Dogpound show the correct image for Michelangelo, so it will be interesting to see if Playmates Toys fixes this. If they do, it will be interesting to see if the fixed version becomes rarer than the error card.

I dunno. Tacoma's pretty rough too.

Maybe it's just most of Washington?

Are you in Tacoma?

I am in Steilacoom!

still no metalheads down here in south carolina.....no shelves have been refreshed :(

thetoybox1138 10-14-2012 08:08 AM

I checked Virginia on my way back from Comic Con. There are none here either. I guess Delaware/Pennsylvania are the lucky spots.

thetoybox1138 10-14-2012 11:37 AM

I take that back. They have hit Virginia. Found some at a few local Target stores today.

Kamurder 10-14-2012 01:12 PM

GRR. I want Metal Head!

11figurehunter 10-14-2012 02:00 PM

thetoybox1138 10-14-2012 05:16 PM

Found them in Chantilly and Ashburn. None at Sterling. Didn't venture to Leesburg yet.

Okay, so this is unrelated to the figures, but very much relatable to the toys - CHECK THIS OUT!

Metalhead Pics

Here are some pics of Metalhead from all sides.

The figure has several points of articulation. Starting with the head dow;

Head swivels up and down as well as from side to side. Torso is one solid piece.
Arms swivel up and down, but have to other articulation. The right hand is molded in a bent position to hold the fireball blast which can be "flicked" out from the back of the elbow. The wrists can be spun in a 360 degree turn. The hands are sculpted in place. The legs have ball joints conected to the waste, as well as bending knees. Much like the Turtles themselves, the knee pads are not sculpted completely around the legs.

Figure comes packed with a fireball which can be inserted into the right hand.

A nice added touch is the manhole cover shell which has the initials "NYC" on it.

Fishface and Dogpound will follow shortly.

Dogpound

Here are some pics of Dogpound from all sides.

The figure has several points of articulation. Starting with the head dow;

Head can swivel back and forth, all the way around in a 360 degree angle. Waste swivels around in a 360 degree circle. Arms can move up and down, and swivel at the wrist. Legs are on ball joints attached at the waist. No knee articulation.

Much like the Splinter figure, the tail must be attached, as does the fur "spikes" on his back. No accessories come with the figure.

Fishface will follow shortly.

Fishface

Here are some pics of Fishface from all sides.

The figure has several points of articulation. Starting with the head dow;

Head can swivel back and forth, but not very far due to the tubes connected at the back. Wsate can swivel around 360 degrees. Arms are on ball joints, and can also swivel at the wrist. Legs can raise up and down, but have no other articulation (think Kraang figure).

Figure comes packed with an impressively large sword, and a short knife. Overall design of the weapons are really nice.

If pictures of the first series are wanted, let me know, and I can add them.
