Shipping Figures
 

How do you guys ship your figures? I am just wondering what you all do.

For me, I use blank newpaper type paper and wrap the card in that and just place it in a box. I have never had problems with this method. Seems to be the cheapest and easiest way.

I was wondering if you used regular newspaper would the ink leak off onto the figure's card?

To me it doesn't matter what is used for packing material as long as w/e is used sufficiently keeps my item securely in place from bouncing around in the box during shipping.

I just grab a ton of bubble wrap from produce at work. So some times the parcel will smell like apples =3.

It depends on the size/weight of the item and how many items are getting sent at once. If it's super light, loose and small I ship in a bubble mailer, and add a bit of extra stuffing/bubble wrap inside. If there's multiple items or has weight, I wrap the items individually, try to put bases, weapons and loose pieces in a seperate bag, and then ziplock the other figures, using bubble wrap, then place them in a box, tape the entire thing to prevent shipping damage to corners and seams, then label over top, mail it and pray it arrives safe and sound.

It all varies based on what I have around me at the time I pack up figures.

It depends on loose or MOC and if they person receiving them wants the box/card in the best condition possible. A bubble mailer usually works fine for loose figures depending on the size and number. I usually have small boxes laying around so I reuse those to save money if I can and fill them with bubble wrap or packing popcorn. The key is always to try and ensure nothing gets damaged in transit.

For mint on card stuff I always ship by putting the item in a plastic bag, then surround with newspaper (the bag is to keep newspaper from rubbing off), sometimes I use packing material from things I order , but Newspaper is always around and cheep. Then I find a box or cut one down to fit to give a inch or two around the object, don't want a lot of wiggle room , but also don't want to pack crazy tight either. Being a collector I take pride in shipping items well and have not had anything but 5 star shipping on ebay.

Depends on how many or how big for me.
The bigger the box, the more bubble wrap they get. Otherwise if it's tiny, it's just a bubble envelope.

I usually don't use bubble wrap unless the figure is in a box. If it is on a card I find that paper does the job better and bubble wrap is a waste. I have a ton of peanuts laying around, but I haven't tried shipping anything with them yet. The paper method is just too easy.

Most of the time I think the "whatever is around" method works well for most of us as it's the cheapest. Yesterday I was shipping out a ML X-Force pack and I didn't have enough newspaper so I used plastic bags, paper towels, blister inserts, etc.
