So, who's watching this?

Green Arrow is my favorite hero, and I've wanted a GA series... either animated or live action for a looooong time. I always felt he had what it took to play well outside of comics.

Even though the series is just a couple episodes in, I think this is good. It's the first full costumed superhero live action series since The Cape (And considerably longer if you discount that).

There are a few things I would do differently, but I think this is a pretty solid adaptation. (I wish his body guard had been Roy Harper, and set him up to become either Red Arrow, or Arsenal. Though she's not in it, I like the little nods to Mia with his sister)

I haven't watched myself but my buddy tells me it's alright. Though he definitely had his gripes about it.

I'll give it a shot when I get a chance.

I am watching and I like the show! One thing I will say about it is that is not a tease like Smallville was.

I genuinely loved the first few episodes largely because I was expecting a shambles. It has crept into predictable territory but some of the stuff increased my respect for those few people who run nightclubs whilst also being able to shoot canned food goods with fancy arrow fingers.

I loved the whole series, thought it was great. Can't wait for the second. Also some interesting news;

I watched 3 episodes and due to the liberties I lost interest and never watched another

Like Smallville didn't take a lot greater liberties, deviating even more from it's source material.
Arrow is considerably more loyal to the overall themes and spirit of Green Arrow, than Smallville ever was to DCU.

On Smallville they never changed a cities name I can deal with character changes but they Fully changed the Cities name to me the show has nothing to do with any part of the DCU. But to each their own if you like the show enjoy it but I feel I gave it a shot and just lost interest

They did not fully change the city's name. They went from Star, to Starling. Because, you know... it sounds more like a real place.
Like it or not, DC was stupid when it came to naming cities. Star, Coast, Central, Rocket... these are dumb names for cities.

That's a pretty damned nitpicky reason to hate a show (And you were trashing it really hard in other threads. so I know you outright hate it.) I call your reason total bullshit. Give me a better reason to hate it, and I'll respect that. Like, you don't like how they handle Ollie, or that he's not called Green Arrow, or that he was trained by Deathstroke or that he has a sister? Those I can get behind.

I lost interest. I could no longer take it I didn't like any of the acting it seemed like they were shooting for Batman with a Bow and it felt very insistant. Had they stuck with the Base story not changing much except conversations and such. Heck I don't like Birds of Prey because they Half assed the show and saddly in my POV Arrow is no different. Had they gone with a Character who did not already appear in Smallville they might be better but because Jason Hartley has already played Oliver Queen and this new guy I found has as much chrisma as a Drill Sergeant in the Marine Corps

Loving this second season with Black Canary...although bringing in ra's al ghul from Batman kind of dislike but we'll see how it goes.

hmm so wonder what they will do with slade now, he's obviously not fully dead

He does say that he had to put down someone who was extra strong like that. Slade comes back somehow, goes evil maybe, and in the end his mask is on a spike at the beach like we saw earlier this season.

So is Flash going to be in this series now? A lil confused on that part...or is he getting his own spin off.

From what I understand Flash is getting a spinoff at some point next year.

Not sure I really like the Slade turn. I kind of prefer him as a memory and a good guy that helped train Oliver more then the next bad guy he is going to have to take down. I don't hate it, but just not sure how I feel about it...The show is awesome overall though, can't get enough of it :)

Too true, especially with Tommy's dad alive as well...He's going to have his hands full.

i just hope we get an epic battle between arrow and slade as deathstroke in present time

Flash is supposed to be getting his own series but it's not a sure thing yet.

You had know that Slade wasn't going to die or stay a hero. I mean, he's Deathstroke.
