SW Clone Wars leaving CN

Not that big of a surprise but it looks like Clone Wars will leave the CN to move over to Disney XD.

With Lucasfilm's New Owners in Place, Star Wars: The Clone Wars Likely Leaving Cartoon Network for Disney XD - IGN

Crazy Jetty 11-03-2012 01:59 PM

YAY! It's not being cancelled!!!

But boo! Disney has no sense of schedule (Not that Cartoon Network was that much better). It may as well be cancelled.

Iceman 11-03-2012 07:47 PM

Kinda thought they would cancel it. Give me a KOTOR TV show.

trebleshot 11-05-2012 08:40 AM

And hope remains....

Speakers92 12-12-2012 03:12 PM

Well atleast it's not cancelled. Hopefully we get to see Ahsokas fate...

Crazy Jetty 12-12-2012 06:40 PM

I dunno. There's *got* to be another clone wars type movie that happens just after Revenge of the Sith.
The surviving Jedi, including ahsoka would not just let Anakin get away with butchering everyone.
And Ahsoka is such a major character in Anakin and Kenobi's lives, I can't see her going down "offscreen" like most of the other jedi.
So either she dies at the end of the clone wars which helps trigger his decent into the darkside, or she dies shortly after RotS. Past that, she's one of Anakin's last links to his humanity, one of the last people left he loves like family. There's no way she'd live to Ep four, and not be a part of Luke or Leia's life. And I can't see her dropping into obscurity like Yoda or Obiwon. She'd have to confront and stop Vader. She'd feel it was her personal duty.
So, either she dies at the end of Clone Wars, or there's a post RotS movie where she confronts Vader and dies by his hands.

I have limited knowledge of the EU but I do know she hasn't shown up in anything around RoTS yet. They do keep adding Jedi that survived the initial purge in various comics/games/books but the initial impression was that the Emperor used his order 66 and it was super effective! The vast majority of the combat ready Jedi were taken unawares by their troops the younglings and such were easily dealt with. It makes sense that some would get away for awhile and Vader hunts them down. Problem is they keep adding people and some of them are even around after the battle of Endor to help Luke start things up again. It just kinda conflicts with the feel of the original trilogy that people hardly even remember Jedi.

Anyway, my point that I don't think Ahsoka fell victim to Order 66, or rather they won't have her go down that way, and I'm not sure how I'd feel if she was still alive at the time. In 'Dark Times' Vader is shown as being on the edge about the Emperor and everything that's happening. RoTS gives the impression that he really is just forced to the Dark Side by a series of events. Never mind the fact that he should have been smart enough to avoid the whole thing in the first place. *ques Ron Burgundy*

Anyway, I think that Ahsoka showing up right after he became Vader would somewhat snap him out of it. My guess would be that she gets killed off far enough before RoTS starts so that her not getting mentioned would feel somewhat natural or perhaps she leaves the Jedi for some reason. We already know that The Clone Wars doesn't have to mesh with the movie since in RoTS Dooku and Anakin hadn't seen each other since Geonosis so I'm probably going to completely wrong and Disney won't want the character killed off at all or something.

I think that since the emperor tries to see and plan everything, he already knows now that Anakin will join him at some point. And I think that he realizes that Anakin's closeness to Ahsoka could prevent him from joining the darkside, so the emperor tries to kill her off as often as possible, until he himself has to do it. I think she discovers he's sith, tries to tell anakin and then boom, force lighting to a crisp.

I couldn’t be more happy that they revived this! Can not wait!

I saw that about 20 mins ago and I was completely surprised they brought it back. When Ashoka shows up that was so badass.

MeLikeJinx 07-19-2018 01:44 PM

OMG. I didn't realize how much I missed Anakin's voice and seeing SW cartoons with non weird Rebels art style animation until I saw that trailer. I was able to experience Clone Wars with my nephews who grew up watching that show and playing with all the toys for like a 3 year span... I don't think it will be the same without the toys... or them... mostly the toys though. LOL.
