Anyone ever witness a bank robbery?
 

Hey guys, I went to grab a bite to eat at an Italian restaurant today because I was having a crappy day..... when I look out the restaurant window and see several cop cars swarm the bank next door. Apparently a guy dressed as a woman robbed the bank and got away, so a ton of cops were searching the area including the restaurant I was at. A meal and a show! Anyway, have any of you witnessed something like this?

I was in the bank when it happened. I walked in, and stood at the back counter to sign my deposit slip, and I had my back to the tellers. I walk up to the window and this lady bumps me and practically ran out. I got to the teller and say hi and everyone in the back are all crying and frantic. I'm like, wtf just happened. And because it was a federal bank, I had to stay locked down in the bank until the FBI showed up to question everyone.

Wow, thats pretty intense. I would have been pretty mad if I had to stay around and get questioned, so I'm glad I was just eating next door with a view of it.

While I've seen, heard and done many things in my life, I have yet to witness a bank robbery. I have heard of one that happened several blocks away from where I was eating at the time, but had no idea anything had happened until hours later when I saw it on the news.

@MegaPrime33 Being detained by the FBI must have sucked, but it's understandable. One of the suspects could have attempted to hide in the crowd (at least from the Feds' POV), or otherwise be part of the crew. Out of curiosity, do you still bank there?

While driving home from my birthday party a few years ago, I saw this:

Police had barricaded the road for about a quarter mile south (the image is oriented with North being top, South being the bottom, East being the right, and West is the left). Where the barricade starts on the south end is the top of a rise. I was actually coming from that lane, and when I saw the barricade, I thought it was a checkpoint, so I went West, and circled around to where you see the car in the first picture. That's when it became clear that it wasn't a checkpoint.

That's the most shocking thing I've seen. Wasn't really shocking though, more like fascinating. Apparently, the guy was a drunk passenger in his own pick-up truck, being driven by his sister. He opened the door and jumped out. Splattered his brain all over the place.
