Iron Man 3 Assemblers on Ebay

First several figures from upcoming 2013 IM3 assemblers line appearing on ebay:

U49 Marvel Universe Iron Man 3 Movie Patriot Armor 3 75" Action Figure | eBay

U52 Marvel Universe Iron Man 3 Movie Blue Stealth Armor 3 75" Action Figure | eBay

As expected, 5 points of articulation.

Say it isn't so!!! that would be a cool and purchasable figure line if they hadnt ruined the hip joints.
too bad.

kostej 12-22-2012 03:29 PM

Not only hips. Also knees and elbows. The arms are supposedly interchangeable, so I do not see much of shoulder movement either.

quinten182 12-22-2012 05:58 PM

That is one ugly sob. Man they're getting cheap as hell these days..

DarthGzus33 12-22-2012 08:50 PM

I think they both look cool, but the damn articulation is Dark Knight Rises Level...I know everyone is going full on hater mode, but we all know that we will secretly pick up a few of these...That being said, this is F'ing pitiful.

MADREVJACK 12-23-2012 04:36 AM

These suck, easy pass.

Ninjinister 12-23-2012 09:36 AM

I bought an IM and a Patriot. I've bought from Jimmy before and I think $9.99 with free shipping is better than $9.99 plus tax a few months from now. Articulation is nice but I almost never pose these bastards anyway.

spade 12-23-2012 09:42 AM

Yeah I went on ebay and saw 7 Iron Man 3 figures which are all Iron Man variants. Horrible.

Looks like calling the movie lines sister lines to the Marvel Universe line may be a stretch in 2013.

Falconhood 12-23-2012 10:03 AM

5 POA? that sucks.

warmachine6 12-23-2012 10:10 AM

these could be prototypes but it they arent then how MU going to survive then i have no idea although this just a movie line

tlasjr 12-23-2012 11:29 AM

Does anybody think they'll be lower priced like the limited articulation figures at dollar general and xmas tree shops?

I HIGHLY doubt that. Look at the Transformers Prime figures from earlier this year, hollowed out parts, and yet they cost more than figures from last year. If you take inflation into account maybe they are about the same, but still, for the price we are paying you are getting less of a figure.

I think it's pretty clear at this point, if you are a Marvel collector, Hasbro is focusing all collector emphasis on the 6" scale. Look at the Walmart exclusive Avengers and Spiderman Studio series figures. They are catered towards us moreso than the 4" lines for both respective movies.

Looks like Iron Man Legends is it for us next year.

Snowflakian 12-24-2012 01:53 AM

I'm loving the designs for the most part. There are a couple there I wish were normal figures. Otherwise still unsure about these. The idea is sound, but the execution needs some work.

nomad1632 12-24-2012 10:25 AM

the designs are cool the sculpts and articulation suck what happened to the iron man 2 design team the sculpt and articulation was the best heres hoping the main line will be up to that previous level.

avengerboy123 12-24-2012 02:24 PM

Hasbro, if these aren't prototypes... :chair

It's terrible that Hasbro's getting so cheap these days.

Guess I'll never have up to date Avengers figures...

Tarquinius 12-25-2012 09:05 AM

I'm just hoping that this isn't the bread and butter 3 3/4 line, that maybe this is like a gimicky side line or something like "BUILD YOUR OWN IRON MAN SWITCHABLE PARTS"

That would be fine just as long as they give us some basic 3 3/4 line

That's a really, really good question.

I haven't seen any text on another 3.75" Iron Man line and know Hasbro must be hurting with it's ton of IM2 stuff still on the shelves but I am curious to know if these gimicky craptacular figures are all we get in the 3.75" range for IM3.

Anyone know if there is any regular figs coming out for the line (in 3.75")?

fosterlager 12-27-2012 09:45 AM

I don't know. There was an articulated Spider-Man in this year's movie line, maybe they'll throw collectors an articulated bone in this and the Wolverine lines.

Then again maybe not.

Yes, but the remaining figs, while a bit cartoony, had in comparison, much greater articulation than these static craptacular IM figs. These are as bad as the Iron Man Adventure figures.

fosterlager 12-27-2012 03:45 PM

You're right. These look like they should come with the vehicles. Weak sauce.

redfox 12-27-2012 04:05 PM

According to this, the Assemblers are going to be separate from the Iron Man 3 3/4" figures.

And some of those figures are pretty good.

Let's hope that holds true and they are more in line with IM2.

The Spider-Man line had a nice one WITHOUT a t-crotch.

Redfox, you are my hero.

IRON MAN AF ASST 201301
These Iron Man 3 3/4" figures feature cool designs with 1 weapon.

Release: 2/2013

That being the case above, then I don't mind these Assemblers so much.
