I think it is due to the fact of it's popularity...that is...vintage.

Ever since I can remember when I started collecting 25th Joes. it seems that more and more companies are wanting to poke at us older fans and buy re-done or re-released characters/franchises/toys/etc.

Is it a good thing? Yeah...but good things only last soo long. Sooner or later the idea will colapse into itself and we will have USELESS re-makes such as those sharks from the 90's that had big heads...when we see those in stores...you know the worst is coming.
