X-men Arcade Sentinel Drone

6 Attachment(s)
Sentinels are huge, towering, mutant-destroying robots...usually! In the classic X-men Arcade game you're faced with human-sized Sentinel Drones that toss rocks and blast you. This custom Marvel Legends Sentinel Drone is based off that design and was made from a Marvel legends series 3 Neo Classic Iron Man, sculpted head/breastplate, Evangelion, hands, and some fodder parts for detail. His dark purple is Tamiya spray lacquer Lavender and turned out really shiny. Watch out for these Sentinel hordes roaming the street X-men!

That's a good looking custom. I've been using some Heroclix Sentinels to stand in for the smaller size ones but they only have the one pose.

Awesome work as usual, and good use of the IM mold.

Wow! You sculpted the face on that thing? That's incredible.

iPad has an app for this arcade game. It's free or maybe .99
No bugs, fun play.

Awesome custom Jin, top notch as always!

I always interpreted the drones as being maybe 10-12 feet tall rather than the classic 20-30 feet tall. With that in mind, I would scale your custom against some Marvel Universe X-men figures. Is there any chance you could post such a pic?

I would love to see how that scale really fits.

that is one of sharpest paint jobs on a custom I've ever seen!
I love it

Spyne98 03-30-2014 02:35 PM

Sweet!

Dang Jin those look awesome! That was one of my favorite arcade games, with the staggered screens it was like something from the future. I just hated how you had to use life (and quarters) to use mutant power... Loved that collossas shout.
"I am magneto, master of magnet! Kill U X-chicken!"

Looooove it

I am planning to do the same thing, but I want to disassemble ironman as mush as possible to do so. Does anyone have a great way of popping these shoulder and hip joints out?
