Bebop And Rocksteady Coming To TMNT Classics!

Classics Bebop & Rocksteady Coming

Snowflakian 01-11-2013 02:31 PM

Probably, alongside krang unless they go for a generic foot soldier first as a prelude.

I would buy multiple Foot soldiers, AND I want a Casey Jones.

Optimus Neeson 01-11-2013 02:44 PM

Damn. Going to have to wait much, much, muuuuuucchh longer for the live-action turtles then. *sigh*

Dark Hayabusa 01-11-2013 03:13 PM

SHIT YEAH! If they're made to properly scale with the turtles (making Rocksteady and Bebop about 8 inches) then we'll have the makings of a awesome toy line

MegaPrime33 01-11-2013 03:32 PM

HOORAY! If they're doing 4 per wave, lets guess who the other 2 will be. I say Shredder and Splinter.

ludovicotek 01-11-2013 03:43 PM

This is GREAT news!!!!! I'm all about a Shredder and Casey Jones as well!

That's one reason the classics line doesn't sit well with me. The turtles are HUGE. Way too huge.
(Horrible headsculpts are the other reason I can't get into them)

April, Rocksteady, Bebop, Splinter, and any other figure they give us will be six inches, and pretty much dwarfed by the turtles (Like any other compairable line like DCUC or ML)

jestermon 01-11-2013 05:15 PM

Finding them is an issue too, never even seen 1 at retail.

I wish they would make poseable smaller scale versions of bebop and Rocksteady, but I know some people love those larger figures.

Blanka 01-11-2013 05:16 PM

And where did you get your information to jump to such a bold conclusion? Are you a designer for Playmates? No. So, zip it with the negativity and conclusion jumping.

SpeedBreaker 01-11-2013 05:35 PM

Cool news, would rather have Splinter though. http://nohomers.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Robogeek28 01-11-2013 05:55 PM

I am SO ready for these guys! :)

Joe Moore 01-11-2013 06:04 PM

Great news. Can't wait to see pics.

Solrac333 01-11-2013 06:35 PM

Awesome.

Phantomcrow 01-12-2013 02:24 AM

I love Bebop and Rocksteady, but if they are not doing a classic SHREDDER after NECA canned the second wave of TMNT figures that had a Shredder I will be mad as hell. I would love to think an all Villains line would work, I would like BB, RS, a standard cartoon Foot Robot soldier and Shredder. What good are Heroes without Villains???? Then for series 3 they should split the line and use April, Casey Jones, Master Splinter, and Krang.

Ninjinister 01-12-2013 08:01 AM

I'd like to see the Classics line at least complete the legendary original 10-back series: Don, Leo, Raph, Mike, Splinter, April, Shredder, Foot Soldier, Rocksteady, Bebop. Of course, it'd be best to have MORE than that, including Krang and Casey. But if they were to keep it small, that'd be optimal.

I would love to see those figures! They should continue this line and allow it to grow like MOTUC. It would be cool if they had exclusives like Yusagi Yojimbo, Metalhead etc.

Absolutely. I couldn't agree more with that statement.

timone317 01-12-2013 01:11 PM

I actually never even had the first versions of Bebop or Rocksteady, so this news is very exciting for me. I really hope this line lasts long enough for them to squeeze in a figure of Slash.

Colder Soldier 01-12-2013 02:29 PM

I shouldn't be happy that Playmates has found a way to get my money...

behindthemask 01-12-2013 02:39 PM

The classic turtles are plentiful at my area, $21.99/figure, I know 1 guy who bought 8 1 set loose 1 set mint. I want to get into them but it's almost a $100, I'm waiting for a bogo/clearance sale. I would get the other guys if made well and to scale.

Optimatron 01-12-2013 09:46 PM

Give me MOAR!!!

If there is one line that I was able to complete as a kid, it was the turtles. I was a huge G1 and Marvel fan too. I was able to pick and choose from all the Toy Biz Marvel characters that I wanted released, G1 figures were hard to get because it was the time before and around G2. Most of my real G1 figures came from garage sales, but TMNT was readily available, and my mom loved making sure I had all the latest Turtle characters and videos. It would be awesome to be able to recollect that line, and remember all those exciting, happy memories. I'll gladly take each and every updated character they release!

On a side note, I have my reservations about wtf Bay is going to do to my beloved turtles, but I hope they at least look like they are supposed to, and either Enterbay or Hot Toys picks up the movie line. 1/6th and 1/4th are my passion right now, along with TFs, and I'd faint to see 1/6th Turtles announced. Hell, I say that because I'd really like some 1/6th versions from the original Trilogy. They finally released the trilogy on Blu Ray, and I scooped those up as fast as possible!

I haven't even seen 1st wave in Texas.

The line has got lousy distribution here which is sad for TMNT fans. I would have loved to pick up Michaelangelo for my younger brother this past Christmas without having to deal with Ebay.

I did see a Leo once at a Toys R Us in Corpus Christi, but his eyes were painted horribly.

I've yet to see any in San Antonio or Austin.

The Worst part is that scalpers are picking what little is available and are selling them for like 40.00 . There's this one toy store in Corpus Christi that I had seen them for 40.00 - 45.00.They had a whole mess of them.

Yes, very sad.

trebleshot 01-14-2013 12:55 PM

If I had ever seen the first wave beyond an empty box at one TRU, I might have been tempted to collect this line as well as the Nick TMNT series. As it stands, I'm very happy for those who want Bebop and Rocksteady (and for the line to continue past the 4 "Toitles"), but I'm kind of meh on it now.

It doesn't help that I have basically banned myself from using Ebay. I spend waaaay too much money when I go there.
