IRON MAN: Hall of Armor
4 Attachment(s)
Thanks to Rivaskiy Li and Fen Li for creating the templates!
I had to adjust the size to fit my 3.75" figures and make a middle section in Photoshop to fit my corner cabinet. I'm very pleased with the results! |
You mean you printed these?
|
Yep, they are made from card stock paper. I got them from this post:

Im so jealous now and want blue prints :O especially for 6 inch scale
|
if u dont say u printed them id swear that this was carved from rock or plasitc or something. truly beautiful work here id like a set for myself so jealous up in here
|
same, me 3... I have a massive IM armoury but in 6'' scale, I'd be willing to pay you to make a set ... or 10 lol. too many figures.
|
Fantastically brilliant! If I hadn't seen the ball joint hips on those guys I would have sworn it was that promo shot of the life size display and I would have never thought it was made from paper.
|
I have no experience with papercraft and it was actually pretty easy to make! Just make sure you use card stock and not regular copy paper and try to use tape whenever possible for future repairs.

space is always an issue for me

Wow...papercraft hall of armor is something I'd never thought possible! What if you were to print and paste these to styrene to build a permanent one?
|
You definitely could, but the card stock is very strong already. I can pick up the entire display at one end and it doesn't flex at all. It should last a long time!

@therealjustin
wanted to create my own hall of armor too bro. do you have a link to the templates? clicked on the site but all i saw were japanese (?) characters =) Thanks bro! |
This is fantastic!
|
Did anyone ever get blue prints or make this themselves? I'm desperately trying to get the specs :).

The side construction had a seam in the wrong spot IMO so I combined the two side wall templates into one which made for a smoother final appearance. I still suggest using two with one on top of the other for depth and strength with one having all of the lighter color trimmed out. After you build your first one this tip will make more sense. |
what'd you use to light it up?

I used a string of LED lights. If you do a search on eBay for "fairy LED lights" you can see what they look like. Basically a string of LED's with a battery box that you can position inside each light bar. Each half of my setup uses one string.
The design is very well made but it isn't perfect. Once you make two or three bays you start to understand where you might need to adjust certain folds, etc. in order for everything to fit properly. Below are the templates I used. I chose to get rid of the bluish color on the backdrop because it looked ugly when I printed these on gray cardstock. Make sure to open these in a new tab so you can save the full size image and print at exactly 300 DPI on an 8.5 x 11 sheet for best results! These have been re-sized to fit 4" figures. |

This is Samurai8472's 6" version with his Revoltech figures on display. Very cool!
Wish the 4" Hasbro figures had light up chest RT's too! http://i.imgur.com/SzWR6xql.jpg http://i.imgur.com/pxRcxPel.jpg http://i.imgur.com/hQWDZ5Ml.jpg |
