You Make The Toyline.

I see a lot of people making threads about the movie or television shows that didn't get toys. So I thought I would try my hand at it but describe what I would do for a toy line. So to keep it simple my first choice would be the 1933 King Kong.

Now the toys would mostly be the dinosaurs and Kong himself and have better articulation along the lines of the monster arts action figures but I would also included various playsets.

Now I would release the larger figures with a smaller island creature and I would include deleted scenes as well. Okay so here goes.
Okay I have read a book based on the movie and seen a list of the various creatures that could have appeared in the movie, so any names will be based on those sources.
As far as playsets go I would release the interior cave and included the Plesiosaur that Kong fought in there as a bonus figure. I would release a rock ledge playset and included a couple of Pteranodons with it. Then I would do an Empire State Building with an appropriate number of biplanes for King Kong to swat at. I would also release the log chasm as a playset and included the two legged lizard with it.
Next I would release a small package of miscellaneous critters with the various birds and prehistoric flying reptiles in it. (There were a lot of different ones to go with it.)
Now as far as action figures go I would release in no particular order.
A Stegosaurus
A Brontosaurus
A Tyrannosaurus
A Styracosaurus
An Arsinotherium (deleted scene.)
A Triceratops (Deleted Scene.)
and obviously King Kong
a final multi pack would included the deleted scene from the bottom of the pit with the various creatures that could be found there. Let me know what you think and try making up a line or two for yourself and let me see what you could come up with.

I'd like to see Hasbro work with Discovery (since the Hub is part of the Discovery Network), to make a line of nature toys.
Starting with Walking with Dinosaurs action figures.

WwD would highly detailed, and usefully articulated dinosaurs that are produced relatively in scale, and to the latest scientific theories.

There would be two scales, Macro and Micro. One for large dinosaurs, and one for small dinosaurs. (because it would be impractical to make a 100'+ sauropod to "GI Joe scale")
The macro scale would produce the large dinosaurs in an affordable pricerange, and keep the animals relatively in scale. There would also be small dinosaurs, such as Velociraptors in the form of miniatures.
The Micro scale, would focus on small dinosaurs, presenting them in the same size classes as the macro scale. Likewise, all Micro scaled dinosaurs would be in scale with one another.

I think another strong property would be Mythbusters.
Geared more to younger kids, the Mythbusters toys would replicate some of their more memorable builds, and create new ones, in ways that teaches physics to kids.
Wouldn't hurt to throw in some GI Joe styled action figures of the five mythbusters (Plus Buster), too!
