A lot of cool stuff.

Now is it really a restaurant too where one can sit and dine?

Yeah. The website actually has a few more pics of the dinning area, but there wasn't much to see other than nice tables.

trebleshot 04-11-2013 08:53 AM

Holy $#!%, Batman! That looks like something I'd hear about opening in Dubai, not South Korea.

I'd almost bet money that there are no prices listed on their menus, either.

LXL_Guy 04-11-2013 09:10 AM

Wonder if you have to dine in to be able to gawk at the goods in this place.

Better yet, there's probably an entrance fee.

If I ever won the lotto and had nothing to do, I'd do that. :)

bman 04-11-2013 10:02 AM

Damn I thought it was the Shwarma joint in NYC! lol. Btw anyone ever tried that place out?

bigkid24 04-11-2013 10:04 AM

Interesting. Seems like the set up is a museum on the 3rd floor and then restaurant/cafe on the 2nd so I wonder if there's actually something to see in the restaurant. Also kind of weird that it ranges from decent looking food and then snack bar looking in another area.

I dunno I'm not that impressed. While it's nice that someone took the time to put everything out in nice displays, a lot of the stuff is mass produced items from Sideshow, Gentle Giant, and other places. Between some of the guys I know I think I might have seen most of that stuff before. I was hoping for more one of a kind stuff.

Dudes...You have a MEMBER here with a similar restaurant. Why don't you feature it? Monster Café Saltillo is my place. My pics are all over Facebook about my restaurant.

To be fair, I've never heard of the restaurant before now.

Also, looking at the pics, it's not really comparable to this place. While it's a rad looking spot, it's geared more to the horror "genre" and not toys/collectibles. If we ran a horror themed site, I could definitely see spotlighting a place like the Monster Cafe.

The CW features museum quality displays of ultra high end figures, statues, busts and collectibles by many of the brands and companies we cover on a daily basis.

I can't find any of them. Your blog doesn't seem to link to any pics or actual info about your cafe or if it does it doesn't seem obvious to me. And the facebook page doesn't show anything either.

I would imagine you'd probably get one free adult admission with the purchase of an entree. But if you just want to see the museum, then I'd agree that there's probably an entrance fee.

And a gift shop, conveniently marked with an "Exit" sign. ;)

I think a lot of the impressiveness isn't necessarily the rarity of the pieces on display, but the sheer size and scope of it all. Plus, those of us who don't collect the higher-end stuff like HT, ST, Bowen, etc. aren't used to seeing a lot of them together in one location.

And certainly not at the level the museum is boasting.

Amazing...just amazing!

bman 04-11-2013 05:46 PM

Do they have Shwarma on the menu?
