1979 Alien Figures To Be Released

Kenner's Unreleased Alien Figures To Be Produced By Super 7

Colder Soldier 04-18-2013 07:27 PM

Wow. These are cool, and will probably be purchased. I wonder what the packages will look like.

salsa4datass 04-18-2013 09:05 PM

I remember reading about this a while back... I might pick them up just cause they will look like vintage figures...

Dark Archangel 04-19-2013 01:47 AM

I tried throwing my money at the screen, but nothing happened lol.

These are a for sure buy.

Absolutely

Tempting, definitely tempting. That said, the only two I would actually consider buying are Ripley and "the alien". Not currently sure these are worth twenty bucks a pop. Will have to see how the packaging looks. Cause if the packaging looks good and "vintage-esque in design, I'll probably get them.

Dark Hayabusa 04-19-2013 06:19 PM

I may just get a Ripley at least.

It is great to see painted copies for the first time. I was expecting that they would only be sold as complete sets. It would be much better to be able to order individual figures that way I could order one of each human and 2 aliens. Here is my photo from the last year's thread;

Sorry for the late update ; Here is a photo I took while attending SW Celebration 6 in August. This was the first time that Super7 showed the Alien creature fully assembled.

Surprised at the praise these seem to be getting. If they didn't have that Kenner backstory and the packaging was standard stuff, would you still be as excited for them, especially at (lol) $20 each?

I'd love some 3.75 scale Alien toys, but definitely not these.

It's pure nostalgia, and the Kenner back story is basically what these are beings sold on. I don't think anyone is debating that. It's a piece of lost toy history being given a second chance. Not only that, they'll slide right in with vintage Star Wars toys as well.

I'll definitely buy these. Possibly two sets if the packaging is as cool as I think it'll be...one set to have loose and one set to keep on the card.

as of today, super7store is taking orders for the full set of 5 figures. I just ordered mine. $100 with free U.S. shipping.

dang, those are rad, wish I had the hundred bones. sad emoticon.

Andy Carruthers 08-02-2013 06:43 PM

They look great, just don't know if I can justify the $100. Maybe at some point.
