I hope some stores do MU figure pre-order bonuses. That would be awesome. Maybe even get a Capcom figure in the 3 3/4" scale by Hasbro from GameStop or Best Buy.

if anything, NECA needs to get in on this for figures and continue where they stopped the SFIV line :)

i really want to get this and like it but i really suck and cant stay intertained by fighting games for too long and especially with the $60 price tag i dont see me getting it.

yeah thats what im basing it off of, i guess i just never was good at the fighting games but i did love Children of the Atom and still have it, but then i go and try one of the newest fighters and the combos for most are just beyond me.

my thoughts exactly, tho im wanting 6" and wed probly get 4".

I dont even use the combos(on purpose anyway)i just punch grab and slide kick.lol

So can someone fill me in on how this is finally happening considering that I thought Capcom no longer owned the Marvel License that was preventing this dream from ever happening?

Not sure since Sega has the IM 2 game, and I think activision? has the spider-man games.

Maybe they managed to snag the rights for the usage of a fighting game. Is spider-man in the game? I already forgot. So it could be only select characters too.

Game licenses are slightly different from toy licenses in that just because one company has the rights to do a game using certain characters doesn't necessarily mean that no other company can do games with those characters. The games themselves just have to be different.

You know, I'm not a big video game guy, mostly because I suck at them, but this definitely looks awesome, and I love MvsC 2 for Dreamcast, so I will watch out for this with great interest.

Licenses don't differ per industry, only in the way they are written and agreed upon. A license just allows the use of another's trademark while avoiding litigation. Everything depends on the licensing agreement. There was obviously a change to the agreement recently that had to have been broad enough such that this game wouldn't constitute infringement, otherwise, what else would have prevented capcom from using these characters in the past for a fighting game franchise that had proved successful? Or, There may have been a 10 yr clause in the original agreement for all we know and that may be why Capcom can now use these characters.

I just hadn't heard anything about it, which is why I asked. EA and Activision previously owned the licensing rights to use Marvel's trademark's in videogames and that was what prevented Capcom from producing this game over the past decade.

Either way, I'm just glad this is finally happening. I only asked about this License thing because I wanna make sure this is REALLY happening and I'm not getting my hopes up again for nothing, lol.
