6" Iron Man 3 figures?

Has anyone heard if Walmart (or anyone else) will be selling exclusive 6" figures like they did for IM 2, Thor, Captain America, and Avengers?

i hear they are marvel legends so you should get them worldwide

Panthro1978 05-04-2013 03:25 AM

The Iron Patriot one is a repaint of the regular Extremis Iron Man ML figure.

mikefavata 05-04-2013 03:56 AM

There's rumor of a War Machine (updated) variant for Iron Patriot.

Rumor is based on the fact that the figure is called James Rhodes (not Iron Patriot) and the back of the package shows the War Machine armor instead of Iron Patriot. Very similar to the newer Marvel Legends figures with the dual figure packaging.

If it happens, could be a store exclusive.

mikefavata 05-04-2013 04:05 AM

Oh and apparently there is a Mandarin figure.

Exclusive: The Mandarin figure readies his war on Iron Man

O.O interesting
Edit although might change the trousers to a skirt thingy

I came here to post that as well. I'd assume we'll get some of the crazier armors from the big fight scene too.

bman 05-04-2013 05:07 AM

Well we've had the Series II Iron Man 3 figures here for about a week now and no mention of a Series III. I hope that we get more armors tho.

warmachine6 05-04-2013 05:10 AM

found these by play imagniative in 1/12 scale :D

Ok, so I picked up the Wave 2 Iron Patriot the other day and it completely annoys me that the "default" placement for the shoulder cannon is the wrong side, and the joint to have it face the right way on the other shoulder isnt there. Why, hasbro? WHY?

Yeah, its annoying but for the price, i'll deal with it. I think I can probly just cut the "connector" part and re-glue it so the gun will be in the proper position. Here are the two ways you can get it without modifications:

Hey jb, you in northern va?

itMFtis 05-08-2013 02:47 PM

Which shoulder is it over in the movie? In the MAA game, it's drawn over his left shoulder, which the toy emulates just fine (although it was pegged in the wrong side in package).

shortysben 05-08-2013 02:50 PM

Itmfits, leesburg target had the new iron man figs today, go get me, ask for the others in the back

itMFtis 05-08-2013 02:58 PM

Yup, got a set of wave 2 from Gainesville Target over the weekend. Forgot to post :D They're all pretty great though. Would have preferred something a little different for Iron Patriot (looks more like IM repaint than War Machine), but I can't argue with movie accuracy.

Nice, think the finished monger is the shit

warmachine6 05-08-2013 03:16 PM

I prefer the looks of war machine 2.0 , wonder what super alloy would make it out to look like hopefully better than hasbro
also hasbro were clearly to lazy to make the gun have articulation like the IM2 one
i suppose it was mass produced they couldn't be bothered

You wanna know what that's gonna cost you? It's pre-ordering here in Hong Kong for $2800 which is roughly $350 US good luck. But I draw the line when figures cost almost a much as a mortgage payment.

Yes, yes I am. I'm much more active on TFW, where in the VA thread we frequently track the Marvel Legends figs as well.

I picked up Ultron this morning, and swapped out my MK 42 for one with *slightly* better paint aps... that's kind of annoying too, but with as many masks as that figure has, I guess none are going to be perfect.

I'm really looking forward to building the monger when I get home, its a shame they didn't do a large-scale BaF Monger for the IM1 legends...

Oh, you're right! I'm used to the War Machine from IM2 where its over the right shoulder... Well, that makes me feel better then. Its still odd that it doesn't sit flat, but that's not nearly as bad then.

Ah yes but what scale is that for 1/4 or 1/12 ? i would be surprised if the 1/12 figures are that price o.O
