2 heroes, 4 army building villains, 4 connecting-playsets AND a vehicle (Tardis)...

THAT's how you kick off a line!

JanSolo 05-17-2013 12:36 PM

I'm so excited for this line.

redx24 05-17-2013 04:49 PM

ooooohhhhh so want multiples just wish they started with the older cybermens since the new one looks too ironmanish for my taste

Falconhood 05-17-2013 05:06 PM

yes, the cybermen look great.

uberlad 05-17-2013 05:53 PM

What is the story with these guys? Will they be available anywhere stateside?

Brownfinger 05-17-2013 09:10 PM

Not sure about the sculpting on the faces, but I know that it's a difficult scale to sculpt finer details for.
I'll definitely pick up a few Cybermen and Daleks.

Funny enough it's because they were designed by Marvel artist Adi Granov (who also designed the Iron man movie armors).

I believe these will be VERY easy to find. Their 5" line can be found at FYE, Books A Million, Barnes & Noble, Comic Shops & most online toy retailers.

I think the lower price point of the 3.75" figures will get them into Toys R Us. Not a huge section or anything but I could easily see these in the specialty figure aisle with the McFarlane and movie stuff.

Only thing that could get difficult/pricy is if they do any Europe-only exclusives like they did on occasion with the 5" line.

thats why it reminds me of the mark 2 from hasbro so much.
not a bad thing just didnt feel it in that episode and kinda wanted age of steel/doomsday cybermen.

Yep. Placed my preorder with BBTS yesterday. Can't wait to get these. I just hope the quality is at least as good as the 5" scale.

Primacron 05-18-2013 11:41 AM

I'm not a particularly big Dr Who fan, but I think I might pick up a Tardis to display with my Excalibur set up.

By the way, I'm in the UK so happy to try and help people out with figures if you need.

Hellbelly 05-19-2013 03:20 AM

There's some better shots further down this page.

I've been looking for a phone booth for similar reasons. I actually bought a BRATZ phone booth to compromise, but it's not American styled, it's British...so it's like a mix between the Doctor Who and Bill & Ted.

If they (someone) made a Bill & Ted phone booth in the 3.75" scale I would buy that without a thought!

Nice, I hope Argos get them in, as I don't see any other retailer in Ireland carrying them, the 6" figures are never released here. I want them all! Though it may take some talking to get the wife to let me bring a Weeping Angel into the house.

Thanks! Yeah, those sculpts need some help around the faces. Otherwise, they look fine.
Why did the line switch scales, anyway? To cut costs? With toy prices rising steadily the past couple years, that would hardly surprise me.

A combination of rising costs, the general downturn of action figure sales in general and primarily lack of interest from the large retailers in the UK (which are mainly the large supermarkets, the UK equivalents of Walmart, Target and so on).
