Not a bad toy, it got a lot of flak because it was released shortly after the tensions rose due to the Big West/Harmony Gold licensing battle, and the fact that it was overpriced to begin with. The starting bid of $60 isn't bad for this.

The MPC VF-1's are decent toys, IMHO, much better as toys than the later Alpha MPC's. The quality on the latter is skeptical and very disappointing.

Actually, the starting bid was $49.99 but it's currently at $60.00.

If only I could afford to place a big, I'd go for it. But I'm also a big fan of the VF-1S.

Good luck to whoever bids!

Nice! Big Roy fan, myself.

I always regretted having to sell this piece a few years ago. It was really one of my favorite non-TF items in my collection. Maybe one day I can buy a replacement.

Optimus Scourge 05-03-2010 07:23 AM

Yeah, this is only one of a few molds I'm missing from my Roy collection, I'd like to add it someday, but Joecon has me broke :(

Joe, if you get a Yamato 1/48 VF-1S Roy Focker Special reissue or V2 1/60 VF-1S Strike Valkyrie Anniversary Plus edition(both out now), you won't look back, trust me.

It wasn't just about the figure that I liked about it. It was the packaging as well, which was beautiful. I did have a single special edition reissue (whichever one had the red armor), which was pretty nice too.

The packaging is excellent.

indeed.

The good thing is that this one had good qc. The 1st release, Rick, had loose leg joints. My Ben and Roy MPC's are noticeably better, with much tighter joints.
