DCU Injustice Green Lantern
|
Sculpt looks great but again looks weird. Mattel has stated twice in our Q&A that the 4H did indeed sculpt these figures, and that they worked directly off of the 3d game files. However, the way the articulation was cut in, hinders some joints, like the knees.
This reminds me of Jazwares Mortal Kombat line because the way the articulation was cut is similar! It goes beyond that though...I remember that the Jazwares Mortal Kombat line sculpts were changed at times to meet the criteria of Midway and/or Netherrealm Studios in order to get their approval to go forward. Since the latter worked on Injustice...perhaps the same thing happened here? My Injustice Batman has better range of motion than my Jazwares MK9 Scorpion, BUT, it's hindered at the exact same places! Hips, knees, et al. Also the below knee swivel is redundant, there's already a thigh swivel! I did not like the soft plastic hands/wrists on my Batman(prone to tearing when twisted, be careful!), and hated how the hips could not move forward 90 degrees. For fighting game figures let alone figures of super-heroes...that's bad! Sculpts look great but as figures, I hate to admit it but...if DC Collectibles makes 7" fully articulated figures...most fans will opt for those instead of the current 4H/Mattel figures. I hate saying that because I will almost always choose the 4H over DC Collectibles when it comes to DC figures. |
I agree about the articulation. I only own Batman and Joker from Injustice, but both suffer the same limiting articulation and this Lantern looks no different. Can we get some bicep swivels like the rest of the recent Mattel DC figures?
Maybe it's just me, but they seem to have unusually long legs as well. |

I understand why the 4H decided to cut the articulation into the places they did to preserve the integrity of the sculpt, however, they cut in articulation more than they should've into the legs and not enough into the arms. |
Looks pretty good. I may pick one up if I see it since I like that costume. If it was the yellow version though it'd be a surefire buy.

I like the look, it gives a police uniform look and GL is a space cop. Works for me. I just want to know when we will get New 52 GL and Cyborg???
|
That's odd, it wouldn't let me directly reply from the front page.
Anyway, it looks lacking. Another figure missing articulation. |
looks good but game accuate for costume hes wearing

It's supposed to be his Regime costume (which is unlockable but never used in-story since he's Yellow Lantern there). It doesn't quite look right though.

Bleeecchh! Between this sham of a figure and it's casemate, the Vomitrocious "Beware the Batman" figure, I think it's safe to assume DC unlimited's run is over. I'd say it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not a liar.

Okay yeah that Batman is just terrible.
|
That...actually looks pretty cool. I'll want to see it in-person, but I might get this as my collection's Green Lantern. That said, an accessory wouldn't hurt...
|
And no new 52 Green Lantern? Mattel, you hurt me sometimes.
