The horrible new Wolverine 3.75 in figures.

I gotta grab that Shadow Strike Ninja, it's a repainted G.I. Joe Retaliation Red Ninja.

Spyne98 06-06-2013 07:20 AM

Those Wolverine figures look like Happy Meal toys (not to sound like a grumpy old fan). I'm looking forward to that Legends case, passing on these.

Isn't it remolded down to 5 POA?

Yes, but so are all the drivers from retaliation. It's just a shelf filler to stick in the background.

It's just down right sad to see such horrible junk thrown out by Hasbro. Narrowing the movie line down to just a wave of four figures isn't a bad idea, but I hope this experiment with five points of articulation ends after these toys end up shelf warming their way to the clearance bin.

Taking a nice figure like the ninja from the GI Joe movie line and reducing it down to five points of bad articulation should be against the law.

Weapon XIX 06-06-2013 08:23 AM

Those Wolverine figures are $9.99 on tru.com which is just plain insulting.

bmorr 06-06-2013 09:08 AM

10 bucks? arent those figs supposed to be 5 or six like the others from IM3?

dragon 06-06-2013 09:17 AM

articulation? look better than first movie toys but nver fan of wolvieerin origins movie after how characters appeance looked terrible in film i have low expectations on second wolvie origns film

Phantomcrow 06-06-2013 09:54 AM

IF I remember correctly the black ninja and samurai are 2 per case and each wolverine is 4 per case. They also had , what has become the Hasbro standard, 12 inch garbage wolverine and the kids claws play item.

jwmagick 06-06-2013 10:11 AM

Saw these at a TRU in NC. I couldn't believe they want $10 for this crap. These almost no articulation and no extras. Not even an annoying spring gimmick item. Ridiculous.

trebleshot 06-06-2013 12:42 PM

The Star Trek figures look nice, though.

Crazy Jetty 06-06-2013 04:22 PM

Anyone seen the Star Trek hotwheels ships yet? I've been looking for those for months, and I don't even know if they've been released yet.
Can't see why they wouldn't have, because the movie's already been out a while and is old news.

Insulting? More like highway robbery. If you could find a Wal-Mart or Target with the GI Joe Dark Ninja in stock you could buy it with articulation and a lot more gear for $10.

Falconhood 06-07-2013 02:58 AM

Star Trek toys? where? I was excited to see the title...until i saw the statues. Sigh, maybe we'll get action figures of Star Trek this year, but I doubt it. According to the news the movie didn't do well...WHAT?? I went THREE times that week! It HAS to do well!

yep, it sure is! When I saw the preview of this film on Thursday, I thought the Joe ninjas would work - looks like they thought the same thing.

It did better than they're giving it credit for.
But in this society, if a movie doesn't open at over $100 million in three days, now it's considered a flop, and deemed a bad movie. (STID made $80m opening weekend in the US alone).
It opened in the number 1 spot, and was the first movie to knock Ironman off that spot.

Expectations for movies are getting kind of obscene and idiotic. Just like John Carter is now being considered one of the worst movies of all times, because it didn't make much money. The movie itself is being judged by the box office take.

STID has it's issues, but it is not a bad movie. It is not a mediocre movie. It irrittates me that a genuinely respectible opening weekend is now getting it slammed as a bad opening.
